| Gage is home!!! YEAH!!! As I said yesterday, his surgery went great. When I picked him up today, the vet said his thyroid test came back within normal limits so there is nothing to worry about with that He said that if the issue with his lack of hair growth was due to a testicular tumor, we should see improvement within 60 days since the surgery will cure that. He went on to say that if that wasn't the reason, there were more tests he could run but he felt it was a "rarity". I told him that Gage was my special, rescue and he was perfect just like he was - I don't want to have any expensive tests run on him unnecessarily (am I wrong for saying that??). I said I was all for tests that he felt were medically necessary and as long as the lack of hair was not hurting him in any way, I didn't want to put him through that. I have to take him back in 60 days (next week for stitches removal) to check the hair growth and we'll go from there. I'm just glad to have him home!! You should have seen him and Gabby sniffing each other as if to say "welcome home, I missed you"...LOL...wish I would have had the camera handy!! Suzi |
