Oh god, I am going to get made fun of SOOO much for this! hahaha Here goes....So I'm sure everyone knows of the infamous boyband the Backstreet Boys, right? Yes, I was a tenny bopper. haha Well MTV had this show called Cribs. Well one of the guys was on it showing his house and the camera is in his kitchen and he's talking and there is this baby playpen. My first though, "Oh god he has a child!" lmao The camera goes in......TWO YORKIE BABIES!!! And I was hooked. I was online for the next three years researching everything about the breed and from there I completely fell in love. And finally after those three years of pleading, Bouncer was my Christmas present one year. And over 4 years later, I have my second one and I could easily have 10 more! haha I absolutely adore them! |
LOL!!!!! thats so really funny! :lol tears :lol tears :eyetearss :eyetearss |
I don't exactly know. I had wanted one for some time though and after my hubby got me zippo for my birthday last year I decided to give myself Lily. Of course when I started researching and checking websites I was quickly hooked. I found Lily before she was old enough to leave her mommy and I could hardly stand the wait. I was so excited before I went to get her that I almost made myself sick. She was sure worth the wait though. |
Well I "married" a yorkie, so to speak. Having grown up with golden retrievers I decided I would have to "tolerate" my wife's yorkie Dixie when we got married. But I have heard that female yorkies often gravitate toward the man of the house and in the case it is true. Dixie knew how to push my buttons and before long we were buddies. We lost Dixie over the holidays, but she did live a long and pampered life. She was my wife's first "child." So my wife is getting an early Valentine's present when we pick up our new little girl "Brie" tomorrow. Of course I am as excited as she is. |
I really don't know for sure, I think I was born with it. :D :D :D :D :yorkiesar |

I fell in love with Scooby purely by accident! My sister decided she had to have a dog and bought scooby after just moving into a new house. She had him a couple of days and brought him to me to "watch" over the weekend. The following weekend she brought him back to me and decided she couldn't handle housebreaking, so thank goodness he peed on her carpet! LOL |
My Yorkie Addiction :animal36 I've always wanted a little dog, but I never knew what kind. Then a few years ago I went to New York with my mother and saw a little baby Yorkie in someone's car barking away. When she stuck out her tongue to pant, it was split in half!!! I thought it was cute, but my mother was a little shocked. Well, I was outside looking at the puppy for so long that the owner came back out and saw us admiring her dog. My mother asked how her tongue got like that, and the woman said that the cat got her tongue...literally!!! I thought it was the cutest thing, and told the lady I wanted to "steal" her dog. :-) Of course I didn't, but it was at that moment I decided that I would get a Yorkie for myself one day. So just a few weeks ago I made up my mind that I was going to do it! I live with my cousin, so we both decided to go looking at puppies at pet stores. Anyway, we went to the first pet store and they had one, but she was sold. We hiked up to another store and they had three Yorkies. Baby was the youngest and actually the first one I saw and played with. Within 30 seconds I said, "This is the one!" I didn't even need to look at the other ones...good thing or maybe I would have gotten them all! :animal36 |
I always despised little dogs and thought they were a waste of skin (Don't hate me. I only knew annoying little dogs). Then, I realized I wanted a dog for companionship and thought about it long and hard. Since I plan on moving around a bit, I thought it would be easier to get a smaller dog who can be transported around more easily than a larger one. I really want to get a large breed dog when I know I am going to be somewhere for a while. |
