Babydoll face??
 
Is there really such thing as a babydoll face yorkie? I have talked to people who say no. They say that what some breeders call "babydoll face" are actually just small yorkies, with small faces. Is this true? :)

Thats what I always figured it was. I consider mine to have baby doll faces....espesially Bella, but I dont know , I think it means like flat...button nose, little mouth.....big preety eyes...I could be wrong though so I look forward to hearing your responses.....I am sending a pic of bella who i think has a babydoll face...anyone can correct me if Im wrong I will NOT be insulted.

The size of a yorkie has nothng to do with it. A babydoll face is a trait that keeps the dogs looking like a puppy even when they grow. :thumbup:

Ohhh I did not know that......so does Louie have a baby doll face? He is over a year old.

I thought "baby doll faced" Yorkies had more of a "flat" face (not in a negative way of course :) ) but meaning the snout is not long.

i am pretty sure thats right they do if you look around in search i think they have pics of some and have talked about this

I never really know what's teddy bear or baby doll, but a lot of people in the dog run tell me that Chewy has a baby doll face :rolleyes:

All of the pics posted on this thread have adorable Yorkie faces but for people who use the term baby-faced or babydoll faced,,these would not fit that description..JMO
Pat had a little stud that was the cutest little guy-he looked like he was running too fast to stop and ran into the wall...I love that look and used him many times as stud.

In my opinion a baby doll faced look in a yorkie means a short snout, bigger than average eyes, small, well set ears, and a full face of hair. Teddy bear is a slighter longer snout but a wider face with a full coat on the face.

You can send Chewy south anyday. I think he is sooo pretty! My girls would think they had died and gone to heaven if Chewy were around. :kiss2wm:

Baby doll faces have a short nose but the term should be avoided when shopping for a pup.

I agree. I know that Stewie doesn't have a "babydoll" face, but he doesn't have a long snout either. I just can't imagine NOT saying that he has a babydoll face. He is MY babydoll!

How sweet of you to say!!! He gets a little confused tho because I put lots of ribbons in his hair and everyone calls him "she"!!! Everyone in the dog run is like "come here girl" If only he knew, he would bite me
