Then again, it's not illegal either if you don't tell right?? LOL :D Id shoot anything if it was coming after my Schatzie!!! That is of course when I figured out how to load my husbands gun, cock it, and release the trigger while aiming. By the time this all took place I think id be too late. :( |
i remembered reading threads on this subject on YorkieTalk a while ago, here are the links . . . Protect Your Yorkies From Owls http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...highlight=bird Raptor Kills Yorkie http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...highlight=bird ~Cielo |
It's very sad, but defiantely true. I live on Lookout Mountian and we have TONS of eagles and hawks. You can see one just about everyday. Honestly, I love the site of them. They're beautiful creatures, BUT we have to be careful wit or babies. To the birds, our yorkies are just rabbits or squirrels. Always supervise your babies when they're outside. If you see a hawk anywhere, play in a covered, fenced area or just go inside. Better safe than sorry. I have to be very careful up here with as many as we have. |
Thats true but what I mean is if you have seen the same hawk/owl lurking around your house outside all the time. I am definatly going to have atleast my beebee (sp?) gun with me and shoot at them hopefully they would get the hint that they are not welcome!! |
No. He will not go outside. We got him on Feb 15th and it has been too cold in Chicago since then. I swear, he sticks one paw outside then turns around and runs the other way into the house. If I pick him up and bring him outside, he will stand with his paws planted wherever I placed him down and will not move until I put my hand on the door handle... then he comes inside. My boyfriend HATES it and thinks he's a wuss. :p |
I was at the vet today and a lady on the phone said that she thinks that is what happened to her kitten. I personally have never seen any big birds around here but now and very scared for my baby but he never goes outside unless he is in my bag. |
I have another sad story to add. My husband's boss used to have a Yorkie. She left it unattended in her backyard. They later found it decapitated (they think it was either a hawk or an owl). :( |
