YES- I would definitely keep her off your couch while chewing anything. We have a leather couch too. I am trying to train KimMee to chew on her blanket. It is a fleece quilted rectangle I can throw in the wash. If she gets on the couch I move her to the blanket or move the blanket to the couch. I think the chewing would stain your couch. Good luck |
I give them to Kacee. She loves them and they last her forever. |
Mine love them too but they are expensive so it is a special treat and rare. |

I haven't discovered any staining from bully sticks. I have both a light colored couch and carpeting. Trace eats them on both. I'd say I have a bigger stain problem with the other PEOPLE that live in my house. Sometimes I even hold them for Trace (who is obviously spoiled if people HOLD his treats...LOL). |

Well I was refering to the suede couch mentioned- I think anything that a pup chewed on that couch would stain. I haven't noticed any staining from the bully sticks but then I usually have a blanket or pad when KimMee is chewing them. |
I bought the Merrick brand 6" bully sticks from a local pet boutique and the girl sweared that Merrick ones are just made from tendons, not bull penises. I bought one from Petsmart once and it REEKED, but the Merrick ones just smelled like beef jerky. I just wanted to say that Loki devoured one of these in about a DAY and that's probably why it made him sick. He ran away from me and I couldn't catch him to take it away!! He is a violent chewer. Maybe we will try again. Or maybe he is allergic to beef? But man he LOVED it. |
oh my gosh!!! i just bought 4 of the bully sticks one for each and they are in heaven right now. only i have one that has eaten almost the whole thing already and they have only had them for less then an hour. the other's have hardly made a dent in their's . i sure hope she dosent get sick from eating it. it was a 5 inch single stick. man they are really exspensive . ive been trying to find something that will keep them busy seems like when i buy toys they have them destroyed in a matter of minutes or they pull all the stuffing out all over the place and then im the one that is kept busy picking it up. if i give them a greenie ( which is almost never now) they would have them gone in a matter of minutes. they even went through a nyla bone but i took it away when i noticed they were eating it. sure is quiet here right now . :D |
wow, i don't know what to say. I suppose there are many different bully sticks but it takes my pup a very long time to eat the bully sticks I buy. |
I give my three BullySticks and they love them. I buy the 12" and cut them in three pieces. I they are thicker and last longer, and I don't worry about them swallowing a hunk. |
I just bought a 7" Bully Stick (Dentleys Chewrite Choobles) - it was about $3 for one. Here is what the label reads: Veterinarian approved - for healthy canine chew habits - exercises teeth and gums Caution: excessive use of this product may cause gastric upset Supervise use of this product - wash hands after handling - This product may stain Money back guarantee too! |
Ok, I am going to ask a stupid question. Are these things actually labeled as Bully Sticks or are they labeled by another name. Just trying to keep from looking like a fool when I go in to get one. |

They are called Bully Sticks. I'm not too sure if there's more than one brand. I only saw one at the store I bought from. Yes, Aggie LOVES it! It's great. It keeps her busy for hours! |
