Awww...She's a real cutie! Love the bow in her hair :) She looks like such a sweet yorkie :) |
Awe, those traits are noticable, but she is adorable....it gives her character :) . Just think how scarey it might be to wonder if you didn't have her.....who would? I think she is adorable! |
Awww thanks you guys. Like I said I was just venting and was a little upset about it. She is a wonderful dog and I wouldn't trade her for anything. All my friends and family think she is just the cutest thing and can't get enough of her. She's definitely a keeper but I know next time what to look for. |

I bought my first yorkie from a pet shop, before I knew better. Shelby had allergy problems from the time he was 3 years old, til we lost him 8 years later. He might have had some other issues too, but none of that mattered though. He was the best little buddy I ever had. It's been three years now since Shelby went to that infamous bridge, and we're almost ready to start over with a new puppy. Kim is training Woodie for me now, as we speak........... :animal36 :animal36 Chris |
She's a sweetheart!!! :) How lucky she is to have found a mom like you!! We have an older Yorkie we bought in ignorance, his hair's not the best, and he's not as cute as your furbaby, but we love him and he loves us. Wishing you the best!!!!! |
She's beautiful!!!! Samson has kinda big ears and I think they make him look adorable!! |
the ears are so funny....but cute...I'm sure the picture makes it look bigger! |
aaawww, she is absolutely precious! She doesn't even look that tall! I know you love your baby lots and I'm sure she is over the moon about you :p |
1 Attachment(s) I sometimes feel that way about Starsky's breeder. Starsky was from the first litter his mom had. His dad was supposedly 4 lbs and his mom was 6. I think back and I think they were actually bigger than what the breeder said. Starsky is a little over 9 lbs and has longer legs than normal. But I would never trade him for the world.!! He has the best personality and he is raised the way I want him to be. I know he admires me just by the way he gives me that puppy love look. I didn't know a whole lot about the breed before I got him and was trusting the breeder. I just wanted a little dog as a pet to love and that is what I got! He is perfect in my eyes!! |
awwwwwwwww....I lover her ears!! She is adorable! I can understand how you are upset with the breeder but look at your preciuos girl. I'm sure you would've bought her all over again if you had the chance. She is PRECIOUS! |
She is a cutie and the best thing her mom loves her just the way she is. I think she has a nice coat, I have read that yorkies that have the thinner coats as puppies have the long silk coat as they get older. I think it takes about two years before you see there true coat. |

She is absolutely adorable:) Like others have posted, I too have my share of "faults" in the Yorkies I've owned (and still do). My first one had an underbite, not a problem but she wasn't "show quality". But I didn't get her for show, I got her to love:) After Katie passed away, I got Gabby. The only "fault" she has is that she is MUCH bigger than I expected. Once she hit 6 months, we knew she was going to be on the larger side of the standard and were expecting full grown weight to be in the neighborhood of 8-10 pounds. Well..."Miss Piggy" has grown up to be a very big, beautiful girl who weighs in at 16 pounds. Then I have Gage, my rescue. And boy is he so not "perfect" (although he is to me!). His hair is barely growing along the back part of his spine. Vet says it could be from one of two things: 1) I can't remember the name of it but there is something that causes their hair not to grow and this could be what he has or 2) the stress from the living environment he was in before we got him cause the hair to fall out/not grow. His hair is absolutely beautiful around his face, legs, and the first 2/3's of his back. Vet said that the hair may grow with proper diet and lots of love. Well, he's definitely getting plenty of both and has come out of his "shell" (we're still waiting on the hair thing, it looks as if it wants to grow out). But hairless or not, I love him to pieces. The important thing, which you've already mentioned, is that you love her. Regardless of her big ears (which are just soooo precious) and bite issue, she is who she is today because of you and your love:) |
Maddie has huge ears also. That is what attracted me to her. I think they are so cute. She went to the groomer's the other day and I told the groomer to make her look more like a dog and less like a bunny rabbit. I was just kidding with her because I do love her big ears. She just laughed at me. She said because they are so big that they wouldn't looked right shaved on the tips like some yorkies have. She just trimmed around the edges. My husband says he doesn't like them like that. He likes all the hair hanging from them. Joan |
Your girl is adorable. Don't ever think otherwise. Just enjoy what you have and feel blessed that she is loving you in return and is healthy. That being said please remember that these babies are just like human babies in that we don't know how they will turn out. Only can hope for the best but each one is different. Thats why I have so few show pups but more pet puppies. Your girl is sweet and I too have found faults with a couple of mine that I spent BIG money on only to realize when they were grown that they would always be just lap warmers :D Doesn't make me love them any less and wouldn't ake a million dollars for any one of them. They will be with me till they cross the rainbow bridge. |
