| Hello, I have not visited this site since 2014. I believe last time I did I had a Yorkie named Baby. She was wonderful and I lost her in 2022. I also just lost another Yorkie Marley last week. She was 14 1/2 and bless her heart had a cataract and Was just diagnosed with CHF. I now have a 2 year old perfect boy Rocky and we got him a new sister Lola. She is beautiful. 12 .5 months old. She has been doing pretty good. I took her for puppy check and all looks good. She does have an inguinal hernia that will be repaired when spayed( I knew this when we got her) . This am while I was at work my husband said she started throwing up and did this on and off for 30 minutes. He said it smells like poop. She does Like to eat her poop So we have to immediately pick it up. Of course as a nurse my first thought was bowel Blockage, but she not in pain. After that spell this am she is eating, drinking water and acting normal. I put her in crate to do something in house and when I was getting her out of crate she had another spot of throw up And it smelled like stool. I have been letting her chew on a bully stick which she loves. I have picked up all bully sticks and am wondering if this is causing the throw up that smells like that. Any advice would be appreciated. |

| Awe, so sorry Lola is having issues not sure about the bully sticks. Or why her throw up smells like poo, that is very odd. Phoebe goes through a period about once a month where she throws up and is off her food for a day or two I took her to the emergency vet once when it lasted about 4 days. I was afraid something serious was going on. They ran a series of test on her including a urine, fecal and blood test. They couldn't find anything wrong. She still has periods of vomiting but it seems to be less frequent. I hope Lola is ok, keep us posted. Last edited by Murnah; 02-22-2026 at 03:22 PM. |
