Hello again! Two pups is a whole new experience.

I've not been here in a long time.

My ZoE passed last year. She was 13 years old. She'd had a spinal stroke two years prior, and then had Cushings. Her passing was one of the worst things that I have ever been through. I left home the day after, as I couldn't stand being there without her. I visited my son & daughter who both live out of state.

While there and crying daily I started looking at yorkie puppies. I found a puppy who would be ready to go the day that I was heading back home, and then I walked into a Goodwill store (used items store for those outside the USA) and saw a small travel crate sitting on a shelf. I took it as a sign. I grabbed the crate, a small pillow for it and a stuffed animal. Took them to my son's house and scrubbed and cleaned them all.

I picked up Sophie on the way home. She's very spunky and beautiful. I could tell that she was really interested in other dogs from her interaction with my daughter's yorkie (who wanted nothing to do with her) and how she was on our walks when we encountered other dogs.

So, when the next litter was born from the same parents, and there was one puppy left that wasn't placed, I drove out of state again to get her. Now I have Willow.

I've never had two dogs myself. It's a whole new experience. Of course, it extended the puppy proofing of my home, and it doubled the cost of everything, but it also doubled the love. It's so interesting to see their distinct personalities. Thankfully, they love each other and have bonded well.
