I agree with Kim, poor her, the messenger always get shot, but I do think they should at least try to pm Tricia privately and explain or apologize for the misundderstanding, I mean it's the right thing to do, remember there are 2 SIDES TO A STORY..... again I am sorry but things happen for a reason! |

Forgive me if I have this wrong BUT do I understand that you hadn't even talked to the breeder ? You were just thinking about it ? If thats the case then that pup was for sale and its first contact that gets it. she had no way of knowing your thoughts. JMO |

I was not saying you were playing games at all... no way... the person who emailed another saying she got so and so but don't tell her my name, is the person playing games.... You my dear, did what was right, you inquired about a breeder, before jumping in to buying a pup... everyone that read the thread (I am sorry I didn't read the thread) had to know you were interested in the pup, but wanted to make sure you were buying from a reputable person. The person that went behind your back, in my opinion is playing a game... she/he knows it was wrong, because they stated not to say their name. I am sorry this happened to you, I am also sorry I was rushed in my first post and didn't really clarify what I ment... I hope you accept my apology.... |

To be blunt and to the point...... This whole situation sucks! |
ilovelouie Maybe it is that the other person did not pay or make definate arrangements. Often times people call breeders saying they want it but have to come up with the money. Many times those people never call back. The breeder can't say "It's no longer available" if they haven't discussed a "for sure" agreement. |
No big deal, I was just hurt/angry that someone HERE would do that. I did post in my other thread that I decided not to get him because I didn't get very good vibes from the breeder. However I did not post this til today, and the other person bought him last night. I am sad that I'm not getting him but more sad that the person did what they did how they did it. Ya know what I mean anyway, what is done is done, what can ya do? |
txshopper73 Hon, you haven't done anything wrong. No a single thing. Don't let this get to you. As someone mentioned "Don't shoot the messenger". I can't imagine how anyone reading this thread could derive that you have done anything wrong. You most certainly have not and don't let anyone make you feel as if you did. |

Tricia you did nothing wrong. You did what any good yorkie owner would do before purchasing a pup. You researched the breeder here on YT. The sad thing is that someone else liked that pup as well. (You must know now you have excellent taste) Anyways the good thing is - the breeder doesn't sound like someone you would want to buy from anyways. Your the winner in this situation, and you will find your new furbaby soon. Keep smilin! :) |

Kimberley: When I was reading through this thread earlier (2+ hours ago), I didn't even give a second thought to the member that had been PM'd and asked to keep the secret. You, in no way, shape or form, had anything to do with this other member purchasing the pup from under Tricia. I just wanted to post to let you know that I never thought bad about the person (you) who was thrown into the middle of this without being asked. |
aww, Tricia! I'm SO sorry! That's just wrong! That person knew you were interested in Aspen! I feel so bad for you....I'm not supprised that your feelings are hurt. :( |
I'll add this little bit... I had pm-d Tricia this morning and gave her the links to Kim Brock as discussed here before. Tricia and I got to talking and it all came out in conversation. Anyway, I feel bad for Tricia and understand that she's hurt. But there will be a baby out there that will come from a reputable breeder and she won't have to deal with LPs. |
Tricia, I am so sorry that this happened to you...I can't believe that someone from YT, of all places, did this to you! We're supposed to be like family, and this whole situation is wrong. It's sad that people can't come on here and do exactly what you did without fear of someone else snatching the doggie that they were thinking of getting. I feel bad for Kim (txshopper) for being caught in the middle of it. I'm glad you don't blame her for it :) It's true some blessings are in disguise, and I think this is one of them. I know you had decided not to get aspen, but still... |
I just read through all the threads......and I say it is definately a "blessing in disquise". Besides , people are nuts! $3,000.00 is way to much to pay.....you will get just as sweet and beautiful of a puppy for way less than that. I paid $1200.00 for Louie and $1500.00 for Bella...and I dont mean to toot my own horn but ....just look at them! lol.....they are the cutest puppies in the world lol Im not partial or anything haha.....But good luck to you and definately look at this as a lesson learned and a blessing! |
This is just my opinion I am gonna share my opinion. My opinion doesn't mean people have to agree with me. 1. I mean.. people just look at the website and decide to buy a pup? That is very risky. Don't people research and take some time to research about the breeder? Tricia came to this forum and asked about the breeder. $3000 doesn't come up so easy (depends.. but anyway) and buying a puppy is not like buying a candy. So.. as some people said, Tricia checked with other members and heard some negative feedback about the breeder, also this specific breeder was banned from YT. So... doesn't it tell us something? So Tricia, it sounds to me that you did the right thing by asking and got feedback others.. Nothing to regret about that! I still think it is "the place" to ask things like that. 2. First comes first served. I also think that good breeders also take time to get to know potential buyers. I wonder if this breeder is planning to do that. That tells me something. Yes Aspen looks cute, but it is not end of the world. There are tons more yorkie pups are out there, waiting for you, Tricia. There are wonderful breeders here whom you can definitely trust and have pups that are as cute as Aspen. I also would be disappointed a little but I would try not to let this get to me so much. I would just try to think it was the fate... Not everyone can wait for others to make up with their mind and contact the breeder. Then at the same time, I would be proud of taking time and asking around instead of jumping into the conclusion. Again it sounds to me "you did a right thing." 3. You did a right thing. Just don't let this get to you so much. You can move on. Look around, ask around, do a lot of research. Buy a yorkie that you can be really open to and you can trust. It might not be something that I should advise you since I haven't even gotten a yorkie. But I take this (yorkie search) really seriously.. and it is just my 2 yen feedback. I am sure that you will find a lovely yorkie !! I am sure you know where to find!!! There are wonderful breeders over here! I just thought that this lady has... a lot of yorkies at same time... Anyway... it is not free shipping. There is no such a free shipping! "shipping included" is the right word. |
I think it's so sad that a YT member could do something like this to another member! What ever happened to loyalty. I always thought we at YT share a special bond because of our love for yorkies. I'm sure most of us feel that way, but this thread also tells us to be cautious in any info we put out here! |

I would feel the same way as you, but then again, if there were no deposit made, etc......the baby wasn't hers, right? BUT shame, shame to another YT member....BUT I would be heartbroken too if this happened to me....and you are definitely a good mommy to try to check on a breeder. I too believe that "things happen for a reason". Who knows, this could be a blessing in disguise and you may just come upon the best baby ever now!!! Good luck!! |
I am so sorry that this happened to you! |

You are right. I apologize for assuming you were friends. I did get carried away in my post but not direct at you, I'm a little tense because how things have been on YT lately..you know all I want to see is a bunch of us looking like this :D :D :D :D :D :yorkietal :yorkiesar :teethysmi ..when I dont' get my way, I get a little hairy..lolol :p |
Just wanted to say...with all of these posts, there is always two sides to every story and hopefully, things will work out. |

I'm really sorry this happened to you. I just can't seem to wrap my mind around why someone would want to do this. There are so many other breeders and beautiful puppies for sale... why rush into purchasing one you know someone else has their eye on. Even on that site, there were several other puppies with adorable faces. Not to mention, it'd be kind of hard to part with 3000 for a puppy when I know there are so many others that are cuties too, but much less expensive. It is just very strange to me. I do hope you end up finding a good breeder, a fair price, and last but not least a beautiful new puppy that you'll just know is the perfect fit for you :) |

EVERYTHING happens for a reason-- I missed most of this but please stay chin up and remember that.... |
I think it is a matter of respect. Tricia, you are a sweet and trusting person, such as we all want to be at heart. You came here to YT with the goal of finding out information you needed in order to make a decision on a pup you fell in love with. You trusted that you were safe in making your request because you assume that everyone on YT feels the same as you. That we are all friends. That we are all family. This is completely not possible. Few people here have met face to face. The only connection we have is the written word. We take it for granted that the love and respect we feel for the majority of the people here is reflected in kind in the hearts of everyone who posts. Tricia, you were personally faced with the cruel reality that this bond we feel is tenuous indeed. There are too many people in this world who believe that the most important person in this world is the one they see in the mirror. If they don't truly know a person, how could they truly care about how their actions affect someone they have never met and probably never will? What they want is more important than the feelings of a relative stranger. It's sad that something like this situation makes us feel that we have to protect ourselves from each other. It is indeed a cruel world out there. We would just like to think that it is only a warm fuzzy world here at YT. This situation shows us that unfortunately, YT is just like the rest of the human world. Not completely insulated. Not completely safe. Sad. But true. Lesson learned. :( Sorry you had to be the one to show it to us, Tricia. |
I will say this in defense of the other person. This person has not been here long at all. She has not built the relationships or "friendships" that others have. I know that she is upset reading all of these pages and swears that nothing underhanded was done. Once again...have we been too quick to judge? I don't know....... |
