| Beware of Kingcreek Kennels/Muskoka Paws breeder Beware of Kingcreek Kennels/Muskoka Paws dog breeders. I drove 3 hours north of Toronto to see their dogs. After viewing their supposedly full disclosure website and spending an hour with the breeder (Anita) I believed what I was being told and put a deposit on one of their retiring breeding females (who just had a litter of puppies 2 weeks ago). The next morning I called the dog's 'supposed' Vet and found out they had absolutely no record of the dog ever being there. I called the breeder and the breeder admitted the dog had never ever seen a Vet since she was born in 2011. There aren't even any records of immunizations ! The breeder said she bought the shots from the Vet and gave them to the dog herself - totally untrue. I called the CKC and found a breach in the ethics but the breeder called the CKC and lied that she was going to provide Vet/immunization papers - which obviously she was going to have to fabricate/create herself. The breeder had also guaranteed that she always refunded a client for any reason whatsoever so that her dogs/puppies would go back to their original home. Because of all this, I asked her for my deposit back. She told me I was being stupid and too emotional and that didn't I see how clean her kennel was, and how healthy the dog 'looked'. Long story short, the breeder refuses to refund the $200 deposit and is selling puppies from this dog too. How awful for these animals and for the unsuspecting buyers. How desperate and fraudulent this breeder is. Reluctantly, I'll have to write off the $200 but the health of their breeding dogs and all their puppies can never be". Very very sad. Please share this with your friends and family. |

| I'd report her or talk to a lawyer. One thing, she supposedly is guaranteeing a refund but is not backing it up, she lied about the yorkie being treated at a hospital, etc. From what everything you're telling me, it's a fraudulent act, even if she is providing a dog, she's not providing exactly what she is advertising.

I so whole heartedly agree with you. She will continue until something happens to stop her from doing what she is doing. Not fair to the dogs or to the buyer. Immunization is too important to glibly explain away. A lie is a lie....no matter what it 'looks' like. | |

| I don't know about Canada but in the US there are more breeders like this than true honest and knowledgeable breeders. So many people see purebred dogs as a means to make money. They don't know about or understand the genetics of purebred breeding at all. They let the number of dogs they have get out of control but the $$$$ in their eyes block the reality of the situation. Contact your local CKC dog club and talk with their contact person. Hopefully, they will direct you to some really good breeders. AKC has a website that you can get club info and hopefully it is the same in Canada. These breeders are usually very happy to find a good pet home for their pups or older breeders. |

| Muskoka Paws I have been looking for a trusted breeder in Ontario since I lost my little Yorkie in February. I had been thinking of one of these puppies since I searched online. I am glad I read this first. Thank you. |
