| Bella's Dental Bella finally had her dental cleaning today. We missed it last year because of COVID and during her yearly check up in January my vet said it needed to be done sooner rather than later. Honestly her teeth were really bad. So I knew I needed to get it done. I thought she just needed a good cleaning as her front teeth looked good. But the x-rays showed 4 loose teeth. Secondly, during the cleaning they found a fractured molar and needed to pull it or else she could end up getting infected and her needing root canal surgery. I hate that she is going to be in pain the next few days but this just shows me the importance of a good dental cleaning each year. Thumper is up next for his cleaning later this summer as I finally got the ok from the specialist that it is fine to put him under anesthesia.

| That fractured molar could have caused a lot of issues, glad that was caught in time.

| You are correct. Luckily Bella was not exhibiting any signs of pain. The vet even thought initial it was just chipped and did not need to be removed. It was only when she was cleaning the tooth did she she how bad it was fractured.
