How many toys does your fur kid have? I was telling Dexter he needed to pick his toys up lol I went to put his toys up he had dragged out and realized he had a lot. With Christmas coming up and his birthday I will have to get him more lol. Anyone have more than a 100 toys for their fur kids? |
I am going to guess yes. Toy box in my office, toy box in the craft room, 3 toy boxes in the living room (one for soft toys, one for balls and one for chew and rubber like toys) and a toy box upstairs. These are pretty big toy boxes. I also have about 10 or so dog puzzles in their closet and a simi big tote of new toys in their closet. I go through the toys a few times a year before holidays and when we are going to have company and the ones we don't play with go to my aunts dogs, dead toys get thrown away and I check out any toys especially chew toys for things that mean they need to be thrown away. I also have 4 dogs though so like a million a piece works out right lol. |
OMG toys!!!!! I can't resist buying him toys. Now he loves latex small squeaky balls, so when I see them I buy them. I have four shopping bags of new toys. He has 2 toy boxes, must have at least 50 between the two, I dare not count the new toys. I would have to say more then 100 toys. |
I can’t take Dexter to the store and come out with a plastic bag without him rummaging through it to see if he got a new toy 🧸 😏 |
Lol, Cody is the same way, Hey mom, where's the toy lol. |
Too many to count. Crazy LOL |
Boy I'll never think I have too many toys now! Compared to you gals |
Emma has 5 toys Bacon Ball A plastic sweaky bat (This is her favorite) A soft paper/sweaky bat A treat ball dispenser A Kong So the sweaky bat we have to hide sometime and she'll play with that on her own. I pra so hard that the toy never dies because I can't find another and it's been several years. so cute to see. I've bought more toys and had a toy box but she doesn't consistently play with toys outside of those 5 I listed. |
I was looking at a Christmas toy for dexter that talked when squeezed. Anyone ever get a toy like this for their dogs? |
I haven't ran across anything like that. I would love to see Cody's reaction lol. |

I am afraid of toys that make weird sounds and talk. Many of them have a weird set up with netting inside of them...and some have batteries. A friend of mine sadly lost a pup a few years ago from choking on the insides of a toy. It was one of those that are long and make weird sounds. The only thing I would advise is to never leave a pup alone with a toy like that. |

1 Attachment(s) Piper is definitely in the minority on toys; she simply doesn't "get" them. My neighbor gave her the ONLY toy she'll play with at all, albeit rarely...And you're lookin' at it! |
Way too many. I've given up some over the years or thrown away old ones. But I'd say yes still likely in the 85-100 range. They only play with a few of them LOL |
It seems Dexter is more excited by the possibility of a new toy when I bring in a plastic sack than the actual toy sometimes. There’s something about watching them play with a new toy that makes it so much fun to watch him |

1 Attachment(s) Cody's latest craze, I had to buy several. They are like the Zaney balls but smaller and round, it fits perfectly in his mouth, thing is, just his jaws get exersize from chomping on it causing me deafness lol. |

My Gidget is the same way. I'm wondering if I got her too early for her to have had the experience of playing with toys. Oh, well..... I don't know about Piper's background, but am guessing from her behaviors that she was used for breeding--not a puppy mill, but not a pet either. She is afraid of men, not social with people in general, but loves other little dogs. I tried several kinds of toys, play in different ways and areas, but she seemed a little more freaked than intrigued or interested. So now she is indulged in walks and (expensive) treats; she has an extensive sweater wardrobe and several, several no-choke harnesses. We are ALL GOOOOD! And as always, my little Piper girl is perfect for me![/COLOR] |
Too many, and she plays with none! Shoe string, or a blanket left on the ground she goes wild! |

Will your yorkie play catch with you? I can throw a toy but, dexter won’t bring it all the way back to me. He will bring it close to let me know he has it. I have to get it from him to throw it again |
My first Yorkie, Teddy, was a play machine. He loved to fetch. He had a tire with a bell inside that he loved for me to throw and he would bring it back to me for more play. Well, when he got tired of playing, he would fetch the tire and take it to the back door letting me know he was tired of the game. So cute. |
