Hi Everyone, I have a 4 year old Yorkie who is just getting over Pancreatitis. She is supposed to be going this week to the vet to have her teeth cleaned for the first time. I am extremely nervous about having her be under anesthesia.

I am looking for feedback on to whether or not others have had taken their yorkie to the vet for a cleaning.

I took my previous do to the Vet for cleaning. He did blood work before the procedure and all went well.

It is really very safe when you get blood work done before hand and all the right protocols are followed. Your still going to worry and that very normal.

With the blood work my Cali gets cleaning about every 6 months as she seems to have a really “nasty” mouth. She does just fine. Just be sure the vet who does the cleaning has someone else there to keep checking the dog and read the monitor.

In fact, don't worry, you need to know that this is good for dogs.
