| 6 months is my favorite age. Females before their first heat and males before they start marking.

| Per my breeder, 1 year to allow them to grow and develop properly. My vet said 6-12 months is ideal, so she's on board with my plan. My baby is getting neutered at 1 year.

| My guy was neutered at 8 months old but he's a big boy. Your vet is the best source for advise, he will tell you what is a safe age for your dog.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I had two of my pups fixed at about 6-7 months old but my tiniest pup the vet and I decided to wait to see if she would get a little bigger. At 12 months she was 4.5 pounds and I had her spayed but she never seemed to go into heat. The vet said it was probably due to her size. |

| Our Mike was neutered a week before he turned 8 months and he was over 8 lbs at the time. I would discuss this with your vet. |
