| ![]() I take my Cookie monster on about 1/2 mile to 3/4 mile walk around the local park daily, but with it being Easter the place was jam packed with kids running around and so wasn't a great place for a walk. So I went to another smaller park that not many people were at and took her for a walk there. I didn't know it but there was a nice 1.75 mile (one-way) hiking trail there so we took that and she was excited the whole way. I never knew my yorkie could walk 3.5 miles in stride like that with those little yorkie legs. But she was excited and walking fast the whole time except near the end when she'd slow down a bit(say 2 mph) on the uphill sections but then want to start walking around 4 mph on the flat and downhill.

| ![]() Cookie did great, yorkies are great little walkers , when my 2 were younger we used to walk 3 or 4 miles on a regular basis and they still wanted to play on return home, so enjoy. My 2 are now 15 and almost 14 years old so a little walk is managed now but the still love to be out .

| ![]() My Duchess is hyper energetic. We walk on average about 3 miles a day. She could easily do 5 miles and we have. We go on long hiking trails sometimes and they are about 5+ miles. When we do long hikes, we walk very casually and take our time along with plenty of breaks and water. You'd be surprise how far this little guys can walk. If they get tired just pick them up and keep it moving ![]() |
