Your blanket statement of "dogs are lactose intolerant" is a generalization. If you take a human nutrition course, you will find the same result with people. As humans age, some people are also are no longer able to digest lactose. Yet, some people have a couple of glasses of milk a day with no ill effect. Science is weird that way....
I do get your point though, and agree as pet parents we should be careful. It is something that we should watch out for. Same as giving a child pedialite everyday instead of water is also not so good for them. There are better, healthier options for everyday consumption. |
