| Alpha dog I need a some advise. I have never had an alpha dog and I believe Penny is. She try’s to heard Callie a round as well as the others. Callie has this thing where if I don’t give Callie a blanket and I get one for myself she will hump me (the only time) well Penny came over when Callie did that and they had a stare off for a full minute then Callie lick Penny’s face and walked away. My chair is a large chair and a half well I had Joey right next to me and then Penny was next to him. I went to more him a hair and Penny snapped big time at him I picked her up and told her no and put her on the floor and she got back on the chair and did it again to the point that it scared Joey so much he wouldn’t move and when I set him down eventually he was scared to get back on the chair then she did it again the next day. Joey is not normally one to give in to her but he did. I checked her out to make sure he wasn’t hitting a sore spot or something bothering her and I found nothing. I’m just not sure how to handle it so any advise or maybe books you can recommend would be great. I do know dogs are not capable of seeing us as dogs or alphas and I just want to know the best way to train and deal with it.
