I have gotten lucky that none of mine are scared of the vet. The orthopedic surgeons office is a different matter Callie actually starts shaking and has to be carried in and then hides under me. Sammy my moms passed away yorkie used to get what we called vet poo where it was very loose diarrhea like he would let it all out, out of fear. It was always best to give him a few minutes outside or he would do it inside. | Cody is a rescue from my vets rescue team, he spent 3 days in a crate before I got him, then he was very sick, needed major surgery, spent several days crated at the vet. He remembers and scared that's he going to be left there. I don't make a big fuss and coddle him, that encourages them, so I just him perch like a bird. Totally embarrassing, my girls were scared and shaked but would stay on my lap. Cody is a very big drama queen lol. |
