Does your yorkie know any tricks? I think all my hard work and consistency in training chloe has paid off. If "sit" means stand there and look at me like I am crazy, and if "stay" means jump up and down like a mad dog then chloe really knows how to perform those tricks :D :D :D . So do your yorkies know any tricks? |
Gucci knows how to stay and drop it like 90% of the time. She knows sit like 60% of the time. She is a smart girl, she will know more if I was more diligent. |
Aggie will lick people faces when we say, "kiss kiss", 80% of the time. We still have to tangle a treat in front of her. :kiss2wm: |
toby knows how to make his food DISAPEAR  lol..... and sit, stay, come, all those basic obediance ones... |
Check it the first vid on the link below, Shana. Eddie does a trick. I'm not sure what it is good for, but they taught it in obedience school so it must be useful. I just want him to learn how to do agility courses, but they're making me teach him all kinds of other stuff first. http://www.dropshots.com/eddietv |
I love Clicker Training!!! Joey knows: sit down stand settle stay wait come over drop it leave it off finish (like Edie demonstrated) walk nice go to bed go to your blankie go to jail (the laundry room) go potty Bang! You're dead! Look left Spin left look get your toy get your ball quiet (pretty well) you're conceited |

Chizzie is the Queen of all fetchers. She can also: come (when it is convenient and it doesn't interfere with ball playing) sit down speak spin (she turns around in circles like an ice-skater) I lover cliker training too. I haven't done much with the Yorkies, but I taught one of my mini's to do the Hoky-Pokey.... |

Hmm.. You'd be willing to pay to see videos? How much???!!!??? :D Just kidding! You're right. I should videotape him. The hardest part would be figuring out how to attach it. Wonder if I could do it... Are there directions anywhere? |
The "trick" we cannot get Toto to do is show off the few tricks she knows ... she won't do anything in front of anyone except us!! ;) |

And a smarter person than me figured out that if you just change your user name, you can do another 10 videos for free. |

These are such good tricks - I love the GO TO JAIL (the laundry room) trick ! |
Chachi knows sit, stay, come, lay down, roll over and play dead. We cant get Jewels to do any tricks. |
Merlin knows how to "freeze" - stop dead in his tracks, and to "do a little dance" - he spins in circles like he's dancing. My son can say "wanna kiss" and he gives kisses on the nose. Mickey doesn't to anything trick-wise. Just looks cute. |
Jenny can almost fetch! :) |
Trixie can sit, down, rollover, dance, shake (both paws), stay, give kisses, want bellyrubs :D |

Joey and Carol - I am so impressed and it just proves how valuable clicker training is  So as not to be outdone by the 2 of you I thought I should list some of the ingredible things my gang does: Bring food bowl when they wants dinner Wash kitchen floor - wish they would use a different cleaner :p Sit on my face to keep my nose warm at night - Saves Energy Let me know when someone is at the door - built in butler Bring my dirty laundry to the family room - built in maid Top notch food critics - Clearly tell me what they don't like Can read a read a book and be a critic of it - tear it up if no good Top of the line bed testers Great Exterminators - get rid of little critters in the house One will tell me if there are any problems in the house - Ms. KnowItAll My own inhouse shrinks - can't stay sad with them in the house My own inhouse facial experts - their tongues are better than oatmeal Time Management Experts - they don't need a clock to tell me what time it is Social secretaries - met many new people because of them (YT Especially  ) Job Recruiters - I now can add dog groomer to my resume along with poop expert My own inhouse alarm and security system Family Experts - Issues are discussed and handled on the spot  Religion - found my soul with rescue Well as you can see I could go on about all of the many great skills and tricks my gang provides me :D |
Ah, Cindy, those are wonderful! |
Bentley can sit...laydown..rollover..shake..and up(which is when he walks around on his back legs) Karlee can...sit and give kisses..haha and umm bark none stop and doesn't understand the the word no.. |
Ah, Joey might be Sully's rival on here for trick-doing! Very nice! You definitely should get the video camera out for those! Sully knows: - sit - stay (he will STAY for a looong time even if you leave the room!) - shake - beg - (when he begs, I ask him "did you wash your hands?" and he will hold his paws up high and "show paws") - spin around (on all fours...and on command he will keep spinning until I say stop) - down (chin all the way on the floor) - Bang! Bang! (dead dog) - roll over (and on command he will roll over and over and over) - crawl (like an army dog, we say...on his belly. We tell him "under the barbed wire, Sully, lower...lower...) - up (stand up tall on his hind legs) - twirl (spin around on hind legs) - walk across the room (on hind legs....you guys saw this one on video last week) - speak! (bark bark) - give kisses - stretch (still working on this one) - and last but not least, "take a bow" Sully also knows all of his tricks with either a voice command or a hand sign only. I've taught him to respond to both....so it's a lot of fun this way! I can say whatever I want to him but give him the hand signal and he'll do it! Sometimes when we give the "take a bow" sign, I'll tell him to "do a yoga stretch". |

http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?us...&cdate=20060121 Sounds like Sully might have Joey beat but we're gaining on ya! LOL Joey's only 7 months old. I'd love to see some video of Sully! |

THANKS for posting the videos. Those are fun! |

Im so jealous! If I would just be consistent with training chloe Im sure she would learn something. |

That video is super cute. I tried to teach Tink to cover her face. I would say "be bashful" and she would do it 50% of the time. |

Wow, only 7mo. old!? That's sooo impressive! Here are a couple videos of Sully doing his tricks. Here's a recent one http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28549 And here's one from a few months back: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9999 |
Trace can sit, down, kind of dance, he's more or less just jumping up and down...but it's the cuttest thing!!! we'ver tried to teach him to shake, but it just didn't work out! :( Trace also does this thing that if you're outside and you tart to run around, he'll follow you! then he runs in circule(sp?) we call it "go! go! Trace, Go, go!" it's so funny! |

Tucker knows: Sit Come Stay down leave it Roll over Get Rusty Find your baby (stuffed animal) Wait (to get something or go somewhere) paw hi 5 wave it doesn't have a name, but he can jump up and do a full spin in the air circle on back legs and last but not least: if you hold him up to your face and say give a kiss he touches your mouth with his nose. :D |
