Need Lots of Prayers...PLEASE My neighbor has a beautiful 4 pound Yorkie named Tinky. She wanted Tinky to be a mother and mated her with a beautiful little champ. Well.. Tinky was pregnant with 6 puppies and for some reason the Vet recommended to my neighbor that they conduct a cesarian to ensure no complications. Well her cesarian happened on Monday and she had 6 little babies. Tinky woke up from her anasthesia and was rejecting her pups...I guess she was confused .....she started licking one of the babies and suddenly bit down on his little leg. The vet cleaned him up and he survived...but now the little baby only had 3 legs. The vet sent my neighbor home with her 6 little babies and Tinky. Tinky was still rejecting the babies but was starting to show interest. She started licking and cleaning her babies and bit two other ones. My neighbor was devestated but it was late at night and the vet was not available. One of the healthy babies died Tuesday morning, and when she took her 5 other babies and Tinky to the vet... he said that there was no option but to put 2 of the babies with the bit leg to sleep. Now she was down to 3 babies..one with only 3 legs. The baby with 3 little legs was actually the biggest and strongest so my husband and I told her we would adopt him once he was old enough to leave his mothers side.....besides there are lots of dogs with only 3 legs running around. The Vet recommended to my neighbor to only allow the mother Tinky to be with her babies if she had a muzzle (to prevent her from biting). But Tinky was really starting to love her babies and she was being a really good mommy. As a precaution my neighbor was making Tinky sleep in another room during the night so she would not hurt her babies....(she made sure the babies had a warm blanket and ticking clock)...then tragedy struck once more.....Wednesday night her son was leaving the room and Tinky tried to run out...he was so scared that she would run and hurt her babies that his first reaction was to close the door....he accidently closed the door on her tummy.....my neighbor had to rush Tinky to one of those emergency vet clinics, since it happened in the middle of the night....the clinic said that there was internal bleeding because her inside stiches from her cesarian had opened up...they had to go in and make sure she was okay....we don't know if it was the anasthesia...or her delicate little body....but Tinky did not make it out of surgery....My poor neighbor is dying because Tinky is HER baby....she loves this dog dearly and feels guilty for putting her through this...she buried her in a beautifull little dress. She had to stay strong because she had 3 babies left.....Thursday night the poor little baby with only 3 legs...who we've named Gimpy developed an infection in his little leg...he had medication the vet prescribed....but in the middle of the night he slipped away....4 babies and Mother Tinky are now with god in Doggy heaven....This is where your prayers come in....my poor neighbor can't afford to loose another one of the babies...there are only 2 left....a little girl and boy....she is doing everything in her power to ensure they survive....but the babies miss their mommy....They have a warm blanket, ticking clock, feeding every 2 hours....and a teddy bear that smells like their mother....we need your prayers...they have to survive....I can't imagine what my neighbor will go through if she looses the 2 babies....This has been a tragedy and she is feeling helpless. Please pray a little prayer that her two little babies whom she's named Dolce and Cabana survive. Thank you and Good night. Yaremis |

OMG, these are the horror stories that make breeding such a responsibility. There is no point in saying anythng now except we will pray that the babies survive and thrive if that is a possibility. I pray that others might read this sad, sad event and re-think some decisions. I am not being hard-hearted but we have to learn from such sad things. That is the only way to justify the sadness and heartbreak of losing so much. Bless you for caring so much and being there for her.. |

OMG.....That was SO SAD to read and what a terrible thing to happen.......I'm so sorry for the poor mommy and her babies and hope the remaining puppies are going to be ok..... This is the main reason I never could have bred either of my girls.... I know I could never get over something like that happening... |
That's the kind of thing that you wish it's a nightmare. Your friends must be devastated by all that's happening. I will pray that God help them. |
My prayers are for your neighbor and her little babies. This was a real sad story. |
What a terrible sad story, I am so sorry your friend has had to go through all this. How old are the babies? My prayers are with her and her babies :rose: |
OMG! That is so sad.  I pray the pups will survive & thrive. I wish she were my neighbor right now! I know my mommy dog(that just had pups) would nurse and care for the baby's. Does she or the vet know of a nursing dog somewhere that would be the type to take care of them...A surrogate. |
How horrible. :( What a series of events to cause such heartbreak. I do pray that the two last babies grow strong and healthy. :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |

What an unbelievably horrible story, Your poor neighbor, she has got to be going out of her mind, I can't imagine, at all. I pray the pups will be ok and survive, this woman needs no more heartache. Prayers to you and your neighbor and those 2 babies. keep us posted. |
That is very sad. Im sorry to hear that this happend to her. we hope everything goes well with the babies. we will pray for her. |
This is one of the saddest stories I have ever read. You breeders can tell me if this is true. I read that occasionally dogs that give birth by C-section - don't bond as well or as quickly with their pups. With a normal birth, the mother is more aware of what's happening and usually starts licking and caring for her pups immediately. But with a C-section, she is asleep and is not as aware of the birth process. Then - she wakes up to find all these strange little creatures snuggled up to her. This whole ordeal is sometimes frightening and confusing for the little mother because she was asleep when the puppies were taken. I wonder if this might not be what happened to this little mother.
