Collar or harness? Hey guys, I just wanted to ask which one do you guys preferred to use? And for what reason do you prefer one over the other? |
Most smaller dogs do better with a harness. |
When my pup did her dog obedience, the trainer insisted on a collar. but I find a harness MUCH safer because she's a real wiggle worm. |
Harness only, collar for tags only. NEVER walk a yorkie on a collar as they are prone to collapsed trachea. |
They should always have a collar on with an Id tag but when your going to hook them to the leash put a harness on too and use that to hook the leash to. |

We had a harness for my mother's dog and we used to use it like you just said because she had a tendency to slip. Not anymore, but you know pups. Sounds like a good idea. Would it even hurt the trachea if you pull on it though? That's the important part, as others said yorkies are prone to collapsed trachea |

I think small dogs in general are prone to that right? I thought it was just chihuahuas but I guess I am wrong. |

I use collars at all times for ID (+ micro chip), and then harness for walking. |
