What's your favorite part about owning a yorkie? 2 Attachment(s) I LOVE how Brandy is so affectionate. She can lay on me for hours and not get tired of it. I'd swear she thinks she's a human baby. I have never had a dog that is so loving. What's your favorite part about your yorkie? By the way, this is also a kind of update on one of the rescued Illinois puppies. Brandy was the female from the litter. Eesnor saved the brothers and gave them shots, vet care, and good homes. There was one other female that was sold before they were rescued. |
Same as you, they are soooooo sweet and affectionate! As a matter of fact, I typed just about the same thing today that your first paragraph says (but about my Cowboy)!!! |
2 Attachment(s) My favorite part of Gracie is how deeply she looks into my eyes. She makes my heart melt when she looks at me. I can tell her anything and she looks at me like I hold the world in the palm of my hand. She is one of a kind! Now, REBEL???? Good lordy!!!!! The best thing about owning Rebel is that there is NEVER a dull moment around the house!!!!!!! He is THE most entertaining dog I've ever had the privilege of owning!!! |

Thanks for the comments. I noticed her ears were down, sometimes they're up. I just don't want to deal with holding her down or taping her ears down when she's already had such a rough life with that backyard breeder. I just want her to be a puppy and enjoy life outside of the box she was living in at the bad lady's house. When she gets older and it's time for her first session at the groomers I might just let them shave the back of her ears. For now it doesn't matter to me up or down. |
I could never have found a more charming, loyal and smart friend as my Yorkies. They have their own personalities and each is charming in their own way. |
Today Robbie was throwing a little shell around. She was trying to get someone's attention so they would chase her. It was so adorable. But as wild as they can be sometimes, I love when I pick one up to brush; they will just roll into a little ball like a baby and stare at me while I brush their hair. Unlike a baby, though, when I am ready to do something else; they run off to play, happy as can be! :p |
3 Attachment(s) I'd say just about everything . . .but can you blame me???? He has filled the void of loneliness for my daughter when she left over a year ago for college. Now, it is my daughter who is homesick for Tiger :) Just the other day she wanted me to take pictures of Tiger so am sharing them with everyone . . . he turned 15 last saturday. He has doubled in size since we first got him 8 weeks ago - his hair got so much longer, his weight doubled and so is my love for this adorable creature. :) :) :) |

My favorite part about owning a yorkie? Well, Princess is not a dog! Just ask her, dogs live outside, with no one to play with. I know it's sad, but very true. I hate it when I hear someone say, it's just a dog! I heard that just the other day when this girl wanted to buy a toy, but her boyfriend said no, he has too many he's only a dog, not a kid. (MADE ME SICK) Yes, Princess is spoiled, but she loves it! She's the light of our life, with a heart of gold. To add to that, if I didn't have her, I would have never found this site, with such outstanding furbabies, and wonderful people. :love: |

The best thing about being owned by Mojo is his unconditional love! He stays by me when I am sick and will spend all day (if he wanted) just laying where he can feel my warmth! I love the way he acts up (plays) just trying to be cute...he doesn't have to try too hard! I have never had a dog like a Yorkie! There is just something about them. I mean, Mojo is my "son" and is treated as such, but there is really something almost human about the way he looks at me, understands me, loves me and needs me. He can lift my spirits like nothing else! I can see him, smell him, and love him and all my stress, cares and worries go away! Yorkies do more than touch your soul and become your best friend........they are very theraputic too! All they want is to love you to death and they deserve the same in return! There's nothing like the bound between a Yorkie and his momma! I honestly do not know how a managed before I found him! |

I love how affectionate and friendly yorkies are. CHloe is so sweet to everyone. Tink (my chi) hates everyone and I cant take her anywhere. PLus tink is sooooo timid. CHloe on the other hand is very bold and I love that! |
I also enjoy the grooming. I like making chloe all pretty. My chihuahua require no grooming at all so its kind of fun to have a yorkie around the house that needs me. I guess I like being needed :D |
I love their affection. Jewels will come up to you when you are sitting in a chair and put her paws up on the chair. It is her way of saying pick me up. So I do and then I get all kinds of kisses. Chachi is more independent so when he is affectionate it is more of a treat. I just love them both so much. |
My favorite is that no matter how my day went, good or bad, she is so happy to see me, like I am the best person in the whole wide world. She follows me where ever I go and she will snuggle with me for hours. She is the most sweetest loving baby I have ever had! |
I really love yorkie kisses and how we communicate. I totally know what she wants and she know what I require of her. :thumbup: |

I love how Gidget is always so loyal to me! She just wants me to sit around and brush her all the time! (Which I do!!! :p ) Since we have had Chloe she is just sooo playful! I love it! I also love how when she sleeps next to me in the bed she has to put her head on my pillow! :wub: |
Everything!!! What dont i love would be easier to answer because that would be a simple "nothing." I love coming home from a bad day and seeing those dark eyes, wagging tail and anxious tongue waiting to greet me with all his might. I recently went through a bad break up and Sirius just knew i was sad- i know dogs can sense things, but i hadnt thought it would be so apparent already [hes 16 weeks] he didnt jump on me like the mad man he usually is, he just plopped his head on my arm gave me a few licks and just loved me. He is so much more than just a dog. he is like my child. a very very furry one :] i also love his terrier like qualities- like bounding up from a deep sleep when the wind blows the door like hes an attack dog. i love how he is so fiesty and doesnt back away from even the biggest dogs. ahh. i could brag about him all day!! this is such a great thread! i could write a novel about how much i love this little furball. anyone wanna join? we could start a chicken soup for the yorkie lovers soul<3<3 |

The best part about owning a yorkie: they are so darn cute, smart, loving, & child like. They are so in tune with your feelings & mood. I love the way they cuddle up and let you love on them and then they give kisses back, as if to say "thank you, mom, I love you too." Once smitten by a Yorkie, always a Yorkie lover. Chester is such a lover boy, he will lay with me all day if I give him a chance. I love to watch him play with his toys and whip his head back and forth. Chester also has several catnip toys, he thinks he is part cat I think and he loves his cat buddies as well. When we are in the car hs will paw at the water bottle or his treat bag for treats.I dont know what I done without him in my life, I have never liked little dogs, but that has all changed. YORKIES RULE...... |
