yeah... there were. Thankfully they have been removed and I hope that everyone else can agree to disagree and be respectful to one another. |

I got big and small ones, no tinies, but I love them all and like looking at them all. One of my favorite things to do on here is look at everyones pics :) I would just hope that we could all just accept one another for what we are and what we have and try to post in a way where feelings aren't hurt and no one feels slighted or less than (Sp?) :) |

1 Attachment(s) I guess my point was that I am not exactly sure why there is a disagreement to begin with, they are still yorkies right? And just for fun I am posting my big fat yorkies picture on this thread Here he is, all of him :D |

My pup is about 5 months old and probably weighs at least 6 pounds. And, he is the cutest thing in the world. He is absolutely hell on wheels. He has changed to silver and tan and is beautiful. And his personality wins whatever prizes there might be out there for personalities. He is affectionate, shy, outgoing, docile, brave and daring, and sweet. He is a combination of everything a dog can be. Since he is so crazy playful and daring - I'm glad he has a couple extra pounds on him. They will serve him well and probably save his life from time to time. I am keeping him in a puppy cut for now. But his hair has grown very fast from the first day I got him. I've decided that he does have a silky coat because it straight and easy to comb (when he allows it). It never seems to matt even though he wears clothes and belly bands a lot. To be honest - I am hoping he doesn't go beyond about 8 pounds - but guess what! I'll wouldn't be surprised if he does. His mother was 12 pounds and his father was 4 1/2 pounds - so he could be anything! I'll take another picture of him eventually and post it. Anyway - I am very pleased with him. He has such a wonderful personality, and he's a very handsome little guy! I feel that I lucked out - and got a wonderful little dog. Carol Jean |
I am blessed to have three yorkies in all different sizes. When I picked out my yorkies I went for the yorkie that tugged at my heart. Maddie is about 9 lbs, Rudy is 7lbs and Polly is less than 3lbs. They all have such different personalities and looks and that is what makes them so beautiful to me. |
Just wanted to say that "cobby" just means proportionate in height and length...the puppy should be the same height and length to be correct proportionally like 9"X9" I believe is the perfect breed standard proportion. A dog id cobby as opposed to long and slender or long legs and short body. It doesn't have anything to do with weight I don't think. |

I honestly have never experienced you getting this upset about a topic and you are usually so positive about most everything that I really can see how much this hurt you today and I really want to understand why but I am still struggling with it. In your opinion is this thread about the larger yorkie guilty of being elitest in your opinion too? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ght=larger+lbs If you feel that that thread was just as bad as the "Joy of tinies" thread then it makes more sense, but if it is only bad when it is about tinies but "bigger" yorkies can have their own thread w/o it being considered offensive then I don't understand at all. Like I said before, to me these threads are no more than asking to post pictures of yorkies with undocked tails or yorkies whose tongues stick out or yorkies who are silver or gray or whatever. Starting those thread is not saying they are "better" than yorkies who don't share those characterisitics...they are just different. Yes, we love them all but they are all different and we should be able to celebrate the uniqueness w/o feeling guilty or w/o hurting someone's feelings whose yorkie doesn't have those characteristics. Does that make sense? |
