Geno bangs at the empty bowl with his paw. Then he runs over go me, sits down, stares. Then runs back to said bowl and paws at it again. All of this while I tell him, calm your booty, I am getting up in one minute Little Man. He continously does this for a minute then I finally go over. There is times he paws it super loud, and I go dont you do it, and like a mischevious kid, he slowly stares at me, and puts his paw down slow then scrapes and runs away. Little stinker.

Shannon125, your yorkie bringing you the bowl is just too cute!

I check every so often and replenish so they don't really have to let me know but they definitely let me know when it's time of their treat. They stare and if I don't give it to them they start barking lol.

Sometimes when we're outside, especially in the summer and when it's hotter out, I give them some of my water out of the bottle cap. The other day (we were inside and they have their water bowl) I was just drinking a water bottle and he started licking the empty cap that was in my hand. It didn't click for a minute until he started nudging the cap and staring at me like hello, where's mine?! LOL!

Mine eat twice a day so they don't get to say anything about empty bowls since they are usually empty ha. But if I forget my chi's pill he follows me and stares at me like I have betrayed him.

As far as water they don't do anything they just wait. I check the bowls often though.
