| Interactive toys My Gidget at 7 mos is still either in 4 wheel drive motion or asleep. Does anyone have an interactive toy that keeps your fur baby's attention longer than 2 minutes. I've tried the Kong and stuff treats in them but that doesn't seem to keep her attention. She's fine with it but when the treats are gone, she's through with it. Any ideas? |

| My puppy loves the toys like the hide a squirrel. Mostly though he just wants to play fetch all day.

| I wish Gidget liked to play fetch or any other game. I got her when she was just a few days over 6 weeks. I think she missed out on the play time she would have had with the other 2 puppies in the litter. From watching the animal channel it seems that weeks 6-10 are critical for learning to play with the other pups. She's still my precious so I guess I'll just have to be patient with her. Sigh...... |

| My little one loves his babble ball. We got it as a gift but I think it was from Amazon. It's a ball that talks. It's highly entertaining for me too with the things it says lol |

| Fetch has been a life saver for us but if your little one is like Gracie she may not like the feel of certain kinds of balls in her mouth. We found out by accident that Gracie loves the softer balls like hacky sacs. You would think she would rip them apart but she is actually very protective of them and will almost sit on them to keep them away from others. She will fetch the very small tennis type ball but when the game is over we have to hide them or they will get chewed. Gracie is the only dog that will not touch a latex toy or anything that is plastic like. She loves squeaky toys but if they are in a latex type toy we can forget it. She won't touch it. There are several interactive toys on Amazon. I have found the best interactive device is another dog. It makes every toy more precious to them! |

| My girl Kimchi is like that, she doesn't like plastic/latex type toys and prefers the soft plushie types, especially with a squeaker. I remembered when she was a little squeaker obsessed that she got really mad at the toy when she couldn't squeak it lol

| My Cali likes to play constantly when we are at home. The iFetch is her go to interactive toy! Of course since I did not get her until she was 10 months old she was used to having a litter to play with constantly. Even after almost a year of service dog school she came home ready to play

| Hit the baby toy isle and look for toys that they can tap to activate, tap to tip and roll or step on....my Zoey just got some ""drums" and she can really go at it.....music and kids voices come out as well as giggles ....she loves them....she has the piano, pony, bear, and puppy. I swear these toys are geared for dogs not babies....they bark too

| Max loves to play fetch but also loves chasing balls so I bought him a bag of 100 ball pit balls! Threw 10 on the floor and the dogs all went crazy chasing them. (We have hardwood floors so they really roll) When he crushes one I just use a pick to pop it round again. He also loves the cat toys! But remove the feathers first or the dog will do that for you |

| Zoey likes to play fetch but Magnus... not so much. Both love treats but as you say, it doesn't last too long. So to make it last longer, I do something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v711scxy4X4 And this is when I had to up the difficulty level: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHRf_NG1mzo For Zoey, since she's so small, I just put the toy/treat ball under the blanket like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qVJ2Ax0QbI Last edited by Magnus; 08-29-2016 at 05:59 AM. |

| Mine loves these treat-dispensing toys by Pet Safe: Waggle Busy Buddy? Waggle? Twist-n-Treat Busy Buddy® Twist 'n Treat? - PetSafe® International You can adjust how easy/hard it is for your pup to get to the treats. I use these when they're bored and also used it for separation training. Has worked wonders for my Scottie.

Oh my, I've been laughing out loud since the second I hit play! She just doesn't slow down, at all--even for a minute! I'm sure she hears stop as a bad, 4-letter word, but never mind knowing the word, I don't know as that little sucker could even dial it down, let alone come to a stop. She is just so tiny, so cute, so determined, so overjoyed with all that room to run and yet with all her zoom, zoom, zoom--you can just see her taking it all in, filing info and then onward! I gotta go watch that video again; it just cracks me up! Loving that zippity Zoe! |
