I use vinegar on our clothes in the rinse cycle instead of a fabric softener. It makes our clothes soft, I have been doing this for years. |
Congrats:) I also use detergent soap and some antibacterial spray to erase the bad smell. |
I am thinking of trying the washable potty pads, does anyone have any suggestions as which ones are best and the best place to purchase them? I have only used disposable, and its getting costly, as my darling Zoe' doesn't want to go on them if they are wet (LOL) just a litle spoiled:confused: :aimeeyork:animal-pa luvmyZo. |
Washing potty pads. Brace yourself , I went to purchase washable potty pads and almost had a heart attack. Wow! They are 24 dollars for 2 . lol Very expensive. And as for the vinegar I bought a gallon jug today food shopping white distilled and I used it in my clothes yesterday , they seemed so much cleaner and no vinegar smell like I thought there would be and way cheeper than my snuggles , and I love snuggles fabric softener. So yes I will be using that from now on. Thanks again for the tip. :) |
I use ordinary liquid laundry detergent, the cheapest brand I can get, and don't aim to get the odor completely out since it attracts the dogs to go back to that place to eliminate. Yes, the pads can be very expensive. The ones I get on Ebay are recycled ones that were previously used in medical settings. They're very economical. |
Question Sorry to ask yet another question to all of you. I have an xpen and want to put something under it for accidents that is waterproof . Someone posted to buy these foam squares which I did today in walmart. Looked up the materials online since they weren't listed on pack and they contain eva which contains form amide . So those are going right back. Don't want anything unsafe near my little boy. Does anything have anything else they would suggest to put under xpen. I plan on putting a tarp then a waterproof something on top of that. Again your input is very much appreciated. Thanks so very much. Sorry for asking so many questions. Thanks everyone. |

I ordered a waterproof seat cover its washable and you just wipe it off and figured I would buy a tarp to put under seat cover and when I don't need it I wash it and put it in my car so it has dual purpose. I do think I will go to joanne's and pick up some of that plastic to have on hand in case. 9 more days till I have my little boy . Getting so excited. :) First time having my own puppy . Once he is somewhat trained he can stay out of the open at night. I am only putting him in there at night till he gets trained. Hopefully , that will go good. Potty pads I'm wanted to get my yorkies off the potty pads and to going outside . I have a fenced in area now. How is the best way to start . I've been taking them out and lots of praise but they use the pads some times. Should I pull the pads up completely or leave one down. Just don't want to completely confuse them to the point they go any where |
