Oh my gosh, my friend and couldn't stop laughing when we read this! All this time I just knew there had to be another me (we're very cute, right?!). Creature comforts just feel right; I don't quite get all this outdoorsy stuff, like hiking and sleeping on the ground. I understand 'outside" to be where we keep the car.

I sleep so much better outside! Oh my! With the car! LMAO :p

Meatballs! Is that what you're cooking for dinner? LOL I think Zippy is more of a ham... He just looks so darn good in front of a camera! Ha Ha Ha! Ezzy is a real Tom Girl.... digging and eating dirt.. and everything else lying around.

Piper and Ezzy would get along just fine! I figure the more of a mess Pipe is, the better time she had...! And Zippy--Zippy has meatball written all over his cute self, but he is most assuredly a little ham--Mugging in front of the camera is his destiny--what with his unique good looks and all!

as far as keeping clean camping, we don't! Dogs and humans get baths upon return home. When I do camp I usually go out where there's no "creature comforts" at all. We cart in our own water to drink and we aren't going to waste it with baths or cleaning dog toes! The mud is part of the experience....so is digging a toilet.

Thought it might be fun for YT members to share camping experiences... Please post thoughts, comments, or pictures. Would love to hear your experiences especially since this seems to be my new addiction. :D

Just to start it off I have attached two pictures of the Piccolo, Dixie, and Vivi camping at a nearby state park (inside and out of the RV). We are definitely newbies at this.

Your girls are adorable "glamping" :). I'm glad the whole family enjoyed. I would love to have an RV to travel with the boys.

That's pretty much how I camp.... The dogs love it either way. ;) We had a small motorhome before the dogs, I couldn't take it everywhere I wanted to go, and boy did it suck down the gas so there were fewer trips. We are fortunate in the Pacific North West with the National Forests to choose from... Thousands of square miles is at our fingertips.

Do your boys have shorter hair? I found that even on some hikes, they get a ton of vegetation stuck in their hair. Sometimes I'm afraid that the things that get stuck might hurt them and jab their undersides lol... to me my pups are so delicate!

I will look into that no rinse shampoo though! Sounds like a very good idea!

Canana, I think the wild animals can probably take care of themselves around your little ones, but it's very considerate of you to keep your little ones in check--just in case...!

Haha...my little ones are definitely the most ferocious on the streets in my neighborhood. Which reminds me, they might annoy the heck out of all the other campers! :rolleyes:

We just started camping this summer and I was also worried about the girls barking. I have found if we walk them enough, they are too tired to do more than a warning bark. Really, they would rather be inside the camper on the bed taking a nap. Cracks me up... they are definitely house dogs.
