				   | Lorry, I am very sorry you are facing the most difficult decision as a pet parent. Listen to your heart. Does he show signs of pain? Is his breathing labored? Does he eat?

				   | That is amazing to have your baby for 16 years. Your question is a very tough decision. If there is no more quality of life and he is in pain then it is best to talk to your vet. He or she will try to guide you the right way. We never want to lose our loved fur babies but always keep in mind you were a great mom and lucky to have him 16 years. Now is a time to comfort him and get some professional advice. Hope all goes ok. Susan |

				   | My baby girl was 17 yo, 95% blind, 95% deaf, dementia and incontinence had set in but she ate well, drank water, she had Cushings disease for the 8 years of her life, was on meds for it and was doing very good. When she wasn't sleeping I played with her, cuddled her, then one day she stopped eating, off to the vet we went, I did not have to make the decision you are faced with, her organs were breaking down. It was early in the morning I was called to come and say my last good byes, I had to put her down. I have had to put down several babies in my life time, it never gets easier this girl was with me the longest, I loved her deeply as she aged. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. If your baby is in pain you have to do what is best for him. Sight, hearing, even making where ever he goes to me is not a reason to let him go, I went through it for 2 years watching my girl lose her sight, her hearing, became confused because she would somehow get under the kitchen table and not be able to find her way out, so I removed all the chairs. Talk to your vet if you are not sure. But cuddle and love him for the time you do have him. I know your pain... (((hugs)))

				   | My yorkie always ate chicken, now he eats very little. As for being blind. in the kitchen he had a pad to use but we leave the light but blind she goes where ever he is, that is the bad part, I have a bad knee and I have a had time cleaning up after him, the vet say when he stops eating its time to go, We have put down 5 dog in 30yrs, I would like to get another dog but we are 88yrs old. My husband does not want to do it.We had another dog he was very sick but he also fought this one. This may be one that I will have to make the right answer; Lorry |

				   | I too will pray for you and your decision.it is one of the hardest ones I believe I have ever had in my life so far. But one thing for me was I was with her. I couldnt just drop her off and leave , I held her until she drew her last breathe then brought her home. May God help you with your decision♥♥ |
