He does look like a silky too but also looks like a Australian terrier. They both seem to have different behaviours and stuff so they are probably not the same. |

What Is the Difference Between a Yorkie & a Silky Terrier - Pets |
Also, when you have a breed based mostly off two breeds (even established ones), they may tend to favor one or the other at times. Or in some cases, a nice mix of the two. If this dog is half yorkie and half Australian terrier then it's what us folks in the USA call Silky Terriers but as the link I've presented mentions, it'll be Australian Silky Terriers, or some may even refer the silky part as yorkies, but they cannot be officially called yorkies, because there's only one established breed of yorkshire (yorkie) terrier. Biewer terriers are relatively newer than Yorkshire and though very strongly related from that breed's lineage, they are very specific in coloration as well as the other poster mentions, are established from Germany and not from Yorkshire, Britain. |

As for cloths they do serve a purpose for cold, sun, rain they are also fun. My husband and I have a lot of fun dressing our girls up to go out or just a special day. My Hubby likes buying coats for them, He cant seem to pass by a cute little coat. So just have fun with it if you want It doesn't matter what others say. |

1 Attachment(s) I love that you're asking all these questions cuz it shows how much you care and that's a wonderful thing! When it's cold, Piper wears a thick (lined) harness on our walks; she moves pretty quickly so we both stay comfortable as we clip along...Now when we go shopping and it's cold, I always put her in a sweater and she still shivers 'til the car warms up. Our little ones need us to stand up for them and to protect them; we know what they need better than anyone else. I'm so pleased you and Pluto found one another; you're both lucky guys! |
I have a fluffy harness its very warm, I don't know if it will fit Pluto though, we got it for our passed Jack russell and it didn't fit him. |
I have a feeling you'll figure it all out as you go along! And take pictures so we can see what works; that'll help the rest of us figure stuff out, too! |
