Scottie had tried bully sticks when he was a puppy, as the dog trainer requested we bring one during classes. He seemed to get sick every single time he got to chew it, whether 5 min or 10 min of chewing. The bully stick we got was 100% natural with no preservatives. Anyway, no bully sticks for Scottie. Side note: I was surprised to find out and thought it's gross/funny they're actually a bull's privates (I know, how immature of me..).
So now, he gets to chew on Himalayan cheese dog chews and halved antlers (he likes the marrow and the full antlers are too hard for him to get to the marrow). Here's a vid of him going hard at the cheese chew (fwd to the end around 0:25 for a good laugh lol...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJn9EXDIS5g
Oh, I've also seen dried duck feet that Scottie hasn't tried yet. I have a feeling he'd love it. | Scottie is too cute in your video! (your pizza looked yummy too :D)
My boys are such aggressive chewers that I don't know what to do with them. The Himalayans were the only thing I could let Max have on his own safely, until he chipped a couple teeth. :(
Then we tried Merrick Texas Toothpicks. Teddy choked and passed out with one, so that was the end of those.
We use CET chews, but I have to hold them while the boys chew because of the choking hazard. I\'ve had to pull one out of Teddy\'s throat.
I looked at some dried chicken chews today that are made to look like the rawhides. I may try them. |
