Before you had yorkietalk !? before i had yorkietalk i wanted a teacup yorkie ! i said it all the time :eek: brownie was eating kibbles and bits brownies coat was short and horrible i had no idea what a good breeder was what about you guys what have you changed or learned since yorkietalk |

Before I had Yorkie Talk...my house was more organized and was much thinner! :D Since then I have learned a lot, laughed a lot, cried a lot, and met a lot of wonderful people! |

Before I had Yorkie Talk: My husband didn't get upset with me for being on the computer - now there's no end to it! lol :rolleyes: I keep telling him I'm helping the doggies. We only had 1 Yorkie - now we have two! :) We learned you can love two Yorkies just as much as one! ;) Muffie used to eat ProPlan for upset stomachs. Now they both eat Canidae. :p I know a lot more about Yorkies now - but still not enough. I've met so many wonderful people on YT - well, most of them are! lol I never had a digital camera - I have one now & still can't post pictures - shoot, I can't even get them on the computer yet!! haha :confused: I never used to have a purpose in life since retired - now I'm helping people on the Stop Smoking Group and also the Lifestyle Changes Group. Gee, I actually feel needed! Don't tell my husband!! ;) |
Pat - that was a GREAT Post and you really ARE helping people - I can't tell you how much you've already helped me .....you're an inspiration to us all who want to change our eating habits and make positive changes in our lives - tell your hubby to come read THIS ! If I'm lyin ...I'm cryin :D but seriously - we do learn alot from each other and it takes all of us to make this site what it is....We all have something special to offer and that makes it a great site... I personally can say that I've made some AWESOME friends here - just awesome ....and this is a great time to say a thank you to you all again..... |
Before YorkieTalk: We only had Magic, who always wore collar!!! Thought all yorkies were pretty much the same... Were clueless about yorkie coats and overall health... But most importantly, like everyone else has said, this site has given us a chance to really get to know other yorkie owners and experience the birth and death of our beloved furbabies!!! I love all the people here at yorkietalk.... |

Before You I thought teacup yorkies were a good thing I didnt know about quality pet food I wasnt whole before I met all of you!!!! :luvu: I am a much better furbaby mommy now too.. I LOVE YT!!!!! |
Before Yorkie talk, I didnt know about reputable breeders,brokers and puppy mills. I didnt know much about Yorkies, and Im still learning. I didnt have so many great friends. I was feeding Gucci Science Diet, now she eats Canidae. I though Yorkies were Teacups. Im a better mommy to my baby Gucci and we want another. I just Love our Yorkietalk family. :thumbup: |
Before YT: I had a life but not as much fun! I learned how to resize and post pictures thanks to Villette! I learned what an Avatar is, well I still don't really know what it is?? I learned that tinies are a constant worry I learned that you are never alone when you have good friends. I learned never to let Cali out of my sight outside I learned that gates can be dangerous I learned how to semi groom Cali I learned YT prayers are the best!! I learned that there are many nice people |

Just glued to Comcast.net waiting for personal e-mails from my sisters in SFO . . . Watched all my favorite TV shows . . . Always looked forward to talking and chatting with my Daughter in Seattle Always shopping for the house (kitchen) . . . BORED . . . [B]After I had Tiger and signed up on YT:[/B] My house is not quite organized . . . My husband makes breakfast/lunch on weekends . . . No time to do much anything else . . . My daughter calls me more often just to check on Tiger . . . Got to know a lot of YT members who have been very helpful . . . Always shopping for Tiger . . . . More expenses . . . . VERY, VERY, VERY HAPPY! ! ! ! ! ! I could go on . . and on . . . and on . . . |
HAHA Ya before YT I think I did a little more in my days. When I first joined everyone was so friendly and they warned me about getting addicted. Well I am and I am loven it. Oh and I learned to stop giving Precious Grapes. :-D |
Before YT? I have a mostly 'didn'ts': My dogs DID get Iams but DIDN'T get to chew on hooves! I didn't know that deodorant could be used as a pet deterent. I didn't know grapes were bad for dogs! I didn't know vinegar was a good deodorizer. I didn't know I could worry/care so much about a person/pet that I had never met. I didn't know I could laugh so hard at my computer screen! And I certainly didn't realize that there are so many other loons out there that are like me when it comes to their furbabies!! |

Was there life before YT?? Before YT: I had a really sick elderly yorkie and I did not know what to do. I grieved for my yorkie girl and no one else understood. I let my pups chew rawhide I didn't spend much money on dogs I spent a lot less time on the computer! I only knew one other person in NC that owned Yorkies I drove only coworkers and family nuts about healthy eating I didn't know how to share videos I bought my dogfood at the grocery store I didn't own a clicker I thought you scolded dogs if they peed on your floor I had no idea who the Dog Whisperer was I had no place to go with a random comment, complaint, or question that I just knew my husband wouldn't understand After YT I know tons of other Yorkie nut jobs just like me! I spend more money on my pup than on myself. I shave my pups hiney! I wipe/brush my pups teeth. Wosie is more potty trained than either of my other 2 ever were. I have people who like and care about Wosie and I even though we have never met. I know I will meet at least 3 YT folks in person in the next couple months! Perfect strangers grieved with me when I lost my 2 older pups. Perfect strangers rejoice with me over every Wosie triumph I spent 4 hours driving around looking for a store that carries Innova today! (with no luck by the way) With the help of my YT friends, I know I will raise my girl to be healthy, happy, and strong. I ENJOY and CHERISH all the new friends I have made here! Before Yorkietalk: I didn't even know there was a yorkie smaller than 5lbs! I fed my baby Science Diet -- Now I feed Canidea and Nutro Ultra holistic puppy food... I had no idea about all the precautions to take when caring for a smaller sized dog. Since we're talking about this, just wanted to say a quick thank you to ALL of you! If not for all of your helpful advice and tips, I don't know where I'd be :tongue: |
so many things Before finding this forum, I was self-absorbed with injured worker forums-- helping injured workers move past their injuries and take ownership in their lives. Since the Yorkie forum, I've learned to laugh again and minimize the amount of time I spend wallowing in the "I can'ts" and I am focusing on the "I can's and I will's". I am learning to enjoy all your yorkies' antics, and appreciate that my Dayzee is just as much an imp as yours is/are. |

Before finding Yorkie Talk.. I didn't know it's OK to have too many Yorkie toys, hairbow, clothes. I had know clue how to get a digital picture on the computer (it was actually in the box for 3 years) I had know idea how to make an advatar. I feed them Eukanuba They had greenies Didn't know carrots made a great treat. After finding Yorkie talk I found it's OK to obsess over your babies and everyone elses. Most importantly I have found the most wonderful group of people that can make me laugh on some of my worst days. Be there with a kind word when you are worried about your little furbaby, or your child. Help ease the pain of another member when they are suffering or lost a beloved family member. Help each other. And just be plain silly with. One of my best days ever happened the day I stumbled across Yorkie Talk. Many Thanks to everyone. |
