As I was leaving one bargain-basement type of store, I was stopped and told I could not have Piper in the store. I said I was unaware of their policy, thanked lady and left. No biggie; 'course I haven't been back to that store! Because I work full-time, I treasure every minute with Piper and these days pretty go only to those places that she is welcome (I'm not that big on shopping---not like Pipe is anyway!). Don't worry if you're told 'no dogs', nobody considers it a big deal; I sincerely doubt anyone would reprimand or embarrass you...Usually someone will simply approach and advise you that their store does not allow dogs. Again, no biggie, so go out with your sweeties and have fun!!! |
I have a beautiful carrier that looks like a purse and I take my baby everywhere! Some guy at Costco always gives me the stink eye Lol, He asked me one time if it was a carrier and I said "what!?" He said "is that your purse?" I said Yea that's my purse!" Lol but every time I come in now he looks at my "purse" all suspect. Lol |

I think it depends on where you live as well. Here in good, old Mississippi they don't allow dogs anywhere (except Petsmart) and on patios outside at restaurants. I have even heard people (employees and patrons) complain about service dogs for the love of Pete. My dog is cleaner and more well behaved than just about anybody I've seen in my local Wal-Mart. I have had a couple of local convenience stores tell me I can bring Zeusy in with me. I guess that would be up to the individual store owner. |
I'm with you Jkpal, Zeusy is my first pet and I'm about to be 48. I've wasted enough years without furbaby love. I want to spend every waking moment with him but work full time. So, like you, I rarely go anywhere he is not allowed. |
