| ![]() We adopted Margo Dec. 4, 2015. I have little info her, I took her to the vet and have her shots and blood work done. I can't get her in until next week for a groom. Any dog shampoo better than another? She won't drink but she will eat boiled chicken. She is so loving! I am really have to really watch her, she has peed on the floor twice. This morning she went outside. Hurray! She has so many changes in her life recently. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Hi and welcome to YT ![]() Is your girl a rescue, is that why you aren't able to know much about her? Boiled chicken is okay for a few days, perhaps, but she does need a balanced diet for long term. I feed frozen raw by Primal or Natures Variety. If you're looking for a kibble then I'd recommend Natures Logic Venison, Natures Variety, Solid Gold Wee Bits or Barking At The Moon, Wellness Core...to name a few. For potty training, you may want to read the sticky threads in our General Training section for tips. ![]()

YT 500 Club Member | ![]() if she wont drink maybe leave a good amount of the water that you boiled the chicken in when you feed the chicken. maybe that will help her to stay hydrated.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Oh also! To entice her to eat kibble, try the trick of sprinkling some Parmesan cheese (from the green can) on the food - nice and pungent for dogs! ![]()

| ![]() Welcome to YT and thank you for rescuing this little girl. When adding chicken broth to her water, use only about 1 or 2 TBSP, reason being, adding too much will cause her to drink the entire bowl and possibly throwing it all up. I went through that with my boy, I found giving him a cup of water adding one TBSP of broth was enough flavor and enough water to cause him not over drinking and throwing up, also you do not want her to get use to broth water, gradually cut back on the broth so that she will be drinking plain water. Make sure all grease has been skimmed off the broth before adding to her water. Also when making chicken use boneless chic cutlets, do NOT add salt or onions. Boneless chic cutlets have far less fat then a regular chic.
