| Behavior Beowulf does the cutest thing but I wonder why he does it. He wipes his paws on the floor like he's starting a race sometimes he growls when he does it lol and I've noticed he's been doing it more since his testicles dropped. I've googled this and I read that they do that to get there scent on the rugs. Does anyone else have any idea why they do this?

YT 1000 Club Member | My male puppy does this all the time (he is fixed). He does it when he wants to play. He will do that and then pounce on one of the other Yorkies to play with them. His mother also does this when she wants to play, so it is not just a male thing. My friend laughs when she sees him do it because she owns his mom and sees so much of her in him.

| My Allie does this all the time. Especially outside after she goes potty. I call this her Bull Kick. She also does it in the house when she wants to play.

| Teddy does this sometimes after he's gone potty. Whenever he does it inside to play, I copy him and he goes nuts. He'll start running circles around me to make me chase him lol. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Rowan is 9 months old. His mom is 3 or so, probably almost 4 as I think she was just turning 3 when he was born. His dad is 2. I also know his grandparents as another friend owns them, so I sometimes see some of their personality in the puppies as well.

| Teddy does this after going potty! I call it his dance. He does it really loud (scratching) when he uses the pad to tell me he has done his business. We cheer for Teddy and sometimes he makes the dance really jazzy and kicks some more. Max learned from Teddy and does it outdoors to celebrate.

| Thank you all for replying and sharing your experiences with this cute behavior. It must be a "yorkie thing" he always wants to play so maybe that's why he does it all the time lol. I have seen him do it after he goes potty but not anymore now he just randomly does it all day lol.

| Piper does this after piddling and growls and turns--and often bounces! All I know is looks like she's having fun! |
