Here is the answer to your question! You answered it yourself!!
Now don't think I am chastising you.....I most certainly am not! THAT would be like the tea kettle calling the coffee pot "nothing but full of hot water!!!" Mine are spoiled in other ways, other areas of their lives......but allowed to get away with some examples of bad behavior! I pick my battles, and if it something that is not a danger to the dogs, maybe just more of an inconvenience for me, I will allow more leeway in behavior.....
My cousin had a really neat trick to stop her dog from barking at the fridge.....her dog also barked at her piano (she used to say the dog was seeing her mother's ghost sitting at the piano!!)....Kathy tied a string to a bath towel and put the towel on top of the fridge and on top of the piano....when the dog would stand in front of the fridge barking, Kathy jerked on the string, pulled that bath towel off the top of the fridge, landed on top of the dog and startled/scared the daylights out of her! She has NEVER barked at the fridge or at the piano ever again!! |
