| ![]() Hello. Welcome to Yorkie Talk. ![]() So happy to hear that your baby is doing well after the surgery. Hopefully, soon he will be able to take the cone off, as they are not very comfortable to wear. Also perhaps a soft cone may be ok soon. Your vet will know what will keep your baby from getting at the incision. Hope he is feeling 100% again soon. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | ![]() Yea, Alaska! Welcome to YT, you're gonna love it here! Yeah, sometimes I think neuter surgery is harder on us owners than the Yorkies! They have a way of looking so sad that breaks our heart. Rest assured, you're doing a good thing and your Yorkie will stand a better chance of living a longer and happier life because of it. P.S. If you're in Anchorage, I can hook you up with a pretty cool meetup group! ![]()

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Welcome to Yorkie Talk!!! My 2 puppies will be 6 months old on Sept 9th and both are getting fixed on Sept 10th. I hope 2 recovering will not be too bad. I think it will be keeping my 9 year old Yorkie to leave them alone while they recover that will be difficult. He loves to play with them. Also, our 80 lb English Setter will have to be gentle with my puppy as they like to rough house and the English Setter likes to just knock him over with his head so my puppy is laying on the floor and then the Setter pretends he is going to bite him and they play, but that won't be allowed. I wonder if it won't be harder on the dogs that aren't getting surgery than on the ones that are. Glad yours is recovering well! I bought mine onesies to put on them after surgery to cover their incisions. I will be home with them at all times for at least a week, so they won't be left alone to chew the incisions while no one is around.
