Yorkies ears Hi my yorkie is 13 weeks ears half up. When will they fully pop up. My other yorkie Millie's ears didn't go up at all |
Keep the hair on the ears short, shaving off the hair is good, the less weight on ears the better. Hopefully other more knowledgeable members will offer advise on possible taping. |
Buddybear had one ear up and one ear down.......adorable cute.......when he got his first grooming they both are up ever since. |
Mitzi had hers half up at 18 weeks. I read about massaging them. So I massaged them from the base to the tip several times a day. Within one week they both popped up! I thought it seemed too easy to work but tried it and it did! I had a down eared yorkie in the past. We thought she was really cute that way. Since Mitzi's ears seemed like they were headed that way I went with the flow!enjoy your little one! |
Thankx I'll try massaging them at the bottom see if that helps xx |
If you want them up, I would tape them ASAP. See here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pup...-stand-up.html |
My baby's ears were both half up. I had massaged her ears for about a month. One stood up but the other still wasn't standing up. Someone on here had posted another way to get a yorkie's ears to stand up that I decided to try that worked. After trimming the hair off the ears, you cut a piece of cardboard a bit smaller than the ear and use eyelash glue to glue it on. I left it on 3 days and decided to take it off for a couple of days. Imagine my surprise when my puppy's ear was already standing! It hasn't come down since. I used baby oil to get the extra eyelash glue off her ear. |
The taping seems to work well. I was going to try that if the massaging didn't work in one week. But did not need to do it. But I checked out the instructions on youtube and they seemed pretty easy to do if you need to tape them! Good luck. |
