Giant/Huge Yorkie 1 Attachment(s) I became the proud and grateful owner of a purebred Yorkie 4 months ago, due to owner surrender. Bosco is 5 years old and weighs 16 lbs. He is the sweetest little boy in the world and does not know that he is unlike others of his breed; he is not overweight, just big. Does anyone else have a big guy?? |
If you do your due diligence, and search around here on the forum, you will run across an exclusive, special paw shake club called the Teapot Yorkies. Sounds like your "little" guy might be considered for membership in the secret society! You can thank me later. ;) |
Bosco is adorable! My first yorkie, Charlie, was a big ole boy. I called him my porky, dorky, yorkie. I bought him from a byb who advertised him as a teacup. Ha ha! He was so smart. I really enjoyed his size--15 plus pounds. He was my running partner for years. He even helped me train for a few half marathons. |
Your Yorkie is cute and adorable. I had a wonderful boy that was 19 pounds. I have a soft spot for large Yorkies. We called him our teapot! |
1 Attachment(s) We adopted a 2 year old rescue in November. He's a pretty big boy at nearly 13 pounds. Just more yorkie to love! Diana |
he is adorable!!:animal36:aimeeyork |
Welcome to YT, Bosco is a little cutie. My now passed girl Matese was 17 lbs, not an once of fat on her, her body was sleek and trim. There is a photo of her in my album stalking a critter lol, my now adopted rescue is 12 lbs. I myself prefer the bigger yorkie, they are sturdier then the wee ones and can take my roughhousing them. Tell lil Bosco he is not alone. |
Magnus is 15.5 lbs. He's so much better to cuddle with than my Zoey who's only 5.5 lbs. LOL Don't we have a teapot that's 20 lbs +? |

My two are 15 pounds. And they have both lost a couple of pounds. |
My 10 month old is 17 lbs :) |
Here is the offical link to the teapot club. There are tons of members on here with big yorkies http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...apot-club.html Check it out...... |
Bosco is so handsome. Good for you for rescuing this sweet boy. There are plenty of full figured Yorkies on this forum, and all their owners agree that there is just more to love. Sounds like you already know that :) |
Thanks! Just learning to navigate this club. Bella is a sweet pea. Good luck with the new adoption. |
Full figured, ha, I like that. Thanks for the comment/compliment....you have a handsome team as well. |
I have two yorkzillas, 14 & 15 lbs. |
Yorkzillas! Yorkzillas! Love it! |
Teapots Thanks to you and the others who posted a link for Application to the Teapot club. Clicking on it only brings me to someone seeking application approval in 2007. Usually computer savvy, I'm having trouble navigating YorkieTalk.com. I will trudge on in my attempts. Thanks again. |
I have a yorkie/poodle mix who is 11lbs at 20 wks. I think I'm going to have about a 15 lb baby! |
I have a big boy too! My little boy is 4 years old and weights 17 lbs! He's so good!! You don't see big yorkies very often but my bet says she has seen up to 20 lbs! I love my big boy I'm looking for a big girl to breed him with! |
There evidently is a club on here for big Yorkies called "Teapot Yorkie" but I haven't been able to get on. We just have more Yorkie to love! |
1 Attachment(s) Jackson is in the 18-19lb range. |

Bosco is adorable! I have a teapot yorkie, Duncan, who is 12 lbs. at 10 months old. Regarding the link to Application to the Teapot Club (http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ht=teapot+club), if you click on 'last' or on the pages in the 60's (I think Duncan was accepted into the club around page 67), you will find the newer posts. Good luck with your new furbaby. He will provide you years of love and laughter. |
2 Attachment(s) Attachment 407100 Attachment 407101I held the youngest Teapot Yorkie award for a minute there. Toby was like 9.5 lbs at around 5 months I think. He slowed down since then, I think he's around 14 lbs now at 1 yr old. He is super adorable, charismatic and just extra extra naughty. He's my Sumo yorkie and my favorite Terrorist. |
