Hi, and welcome! That is a very cute baby. Obviously, that sweet cutie does not meet the Yorkie standard, but I was wondering if the person who offered it has pedigree or papers of any kind. Certainly, you would not want to breed it, with incorrect coloring, but that doesn't make it less wonderful as a companion. I have a Yorkie girl that lost all her blue and is completely golden now...gorgeous color, but incorrect. She is sweet, and a companion...not breeding stock, so I could not care less. What are you looking for in a dog? |
She seems really cute but I don't think she shows many Yorkie characteristics besides the hair...I'd ask if she is mixed and if they have papers... |
He's adorable, has a chocolate nose, looks like a yorkie with chocolate nose, like Oscar. |
Are the any AKC papers? It could be a chocolate yorkie or a mix ya never know. |
It is hard to tell in that picture and even sometimes I have seen purebreds (with papers) that don't look like a full Yorkie and then seen some mixes that people would swear were a full Yorkie. I argue with several people a week when I tell them my puppies are a Yorkie mix. They tell me that they must be purebred because they look it. I know the person who owns the parents to my 2 puppies and I know for a fact they are a mix, but I still have to argue with a lot of people about it. Maybe some more pics would be helpful. I love Yorkies, even if they are a mix and if the dog fits you then take it. He does look like he could be a pure Yorkie, but the picture doesn't show him well so it is difficult to really guess. |
Welcome to YT ! Deff looks like a Yorkie to me. Not standard but deff yorkie. Is the offer (free ) as many unscrupulous BYB's often try to charge more for a pup of this color & call it a rare chocolate , & in actuality it's nothing but a gene flaw & though doesn't usually cause any health issues it's not standard & not something that should ever be bred for. |

My Oscar I have been hoping you would see this pup, I see choc. yorkie, the lids of his eyes are like your Oscar light in color. Thanks for posting a pic of Oscar, there could only be ONE Oscar, but wouldn't it be grand to have two choc. yorkies on YT. |

If it is free/cheap, I would snatch it up! If it is expensive then I would have to weigh what I am looking for vs what I am willing to pay (and can afford). I think he is adorable and with more pics we could give a better guess of course, but my first impression is Yorkie. |
