Torturing of any living being is not "culture" ... I don't care WHAT country it occurs in. This thread is disgusting to me...that anyone could condone the torturing of animals/living beings is beyond me. I probably don't need to come back to this thread. Depressing to see how people excuse the torture of any living being. .. even going so far as to say it is done in the US???? How anyone can justify it is so disheartening. |

I read the earlier posts and thought about it for some time before deciding to post. I did not see what when down later in the afternoon. I just went to the end of the thread and posted. I only saw that people were comparing what people eat instead of how they obtained the food. I also saw a comment about how the US kills cows and I did not see how that justified ignoring what they do in China. I am happy that people now see that they were not comparing the same things. Matters not...either people will sign the petition or they won't sign it. I personally would sign any petition against anyone torturing animals no matter where they lived anf no matter how I felt about the two minutes I might be losing. It is always worth trying imho. |

signed...of course....I've been signing these for a couple years :( will be glad when this is over...I do believe its getting there Ann. |
Just saw this on my FB feed. Warning: some graphic pictures. If you don't want to look at the link, the main point of this article I'd like to point out is that "asia's dog meat industries slowly dying". Chinese dog thieves beaten by angry neighbours - The Animals Post |
I am going to have to take your word on what's in the article as i just do not want to look at the pics. It sounds like even the Chinese realize it's wrong. |

I came across this articles and the say they have a combined 3 million signatures with all of the different petitions going on. It's schedule for the 21st. I hope we are able to stop it. I've signed several different petitions. https://www.change.org/p/president-o...m_medium=email |
Boy was I wrong. The petition actually stopped the dog meat carnival. Good going everyone. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2011/09/30...?referrer&_r=1 |

These petitions make an impact, even if the change is only due to boycotts leading to economic change I support other cultures, but I can't ever support the in humane treatment of animals. I signed the petition. Thanks for sharing this. |
