Besides Dog, What Other Animals Is Your Kiddo Made Of? Have we done this type of thread already...I can't recall...? :p Anyway, I always see other animals in our dogs...as if they have other species thrown in there...do you see the same in your dogs? If so, what are they made up of? For mine I see the following: **Wylie: bear, polar bear, seal, wolf, bear cub **Marcel: lemur, long-haired guinea pig crossed w/ himalayan cat (what the?), a super smush-faced poufy-owl **Pfeiffer: she is all bunny, with a total bunny-butt **Arthur (our chi): he is all black-eyed seal-pup |
:D Oh my goodness Ann.... Harry the MEERKAT!!!! He can balance, even on our bed, on his hind leg for aaaaages - completely still, even if we bounce around he kind of adjusts himself - really clever :D |
I love what you see in your babies! Max: stately Lion with big mane and strut, little bear cub when he eats and cuddles Teddy: roadrunner, meerkat, fox |

Amazing photo Sally! Gosh - never really thought about this but now I have and here they are: Razzle - definitely otter - sleek slim lines - loves to swim Magic - while he looks and even has been mistaken for a bear - He is more like the Alpha Big Lion. He also has a bit of Rhino in him. And maybe a bit of Hippo too :-) Dara - well she is a Gazelle and a Panther - all sleek elegance and very very fast. |

Love the idea of this thread! Tibbe would definitely be part talking parrot as he is always verbalizing about what he thinks of life, seems to curse at times and is forever chortling on about this or that even when he's bored and got nothing to go on about. He'd also be part wolf - high prey drive, a forager and seeker/hunter/killer of toys and things that dash around outside. Course when he almost catches up to anything live, he stops short and looks on with curiosity rather than attack and kill but he does kill all the squeaky toys he can. He's definitely part cat - extremely curious and thinks none of the laws of gravity apply to him and not a bit scared of heights. He'll walk right on the edge of furniture and try to jump off anything - including out of my arms and off the kitchen cabinet one day when he got scared, trying to jump into my arms. I barely caught him, I got hurt and he was fine! Part kid - always bouncing around just like a baby goat! Part fox - after it's dead and made into a stole - because he's almost always draped on me somewhere or right beside me on the pillow and always keeping me nice and warm, even through long, hot Texas summers! Why he doesn't get hot too, I'll never know. Part toddler - always talks back, always on the go and into everything. Only difference is he's not destructive. Part bunny - for some reason he still comes running whenever he hears the fridge door open and loves to cuddle-bunny up - both just like the pet rabbit we had when I was a child. |
Penny is part dog, part cat, part vulture (she sits on the couch and hangs over the edge) part frog chaser, part actress |
ZoE is definately part mountain goat! She loves climbing. She also part rabbit, because she loves to hop around the yard. And then she's part gazelle cos when the does her happy run, her legs spend as much time in the air as they do on the ground. |
Barney is part meerkat also and part chicken. Anna is part tasmanian devil. Willie Wonka is a mix I've never seen. Part Lovebird, part peacock, and he thinks he's part lion, the king of the jungle. I love this thread. |
Lola is part parrot (talks a lot), part cat (rubs against people and objects), part toddler (gets into everything), and part rabbit (hops). |
I think Lexi is an ewok. She looks like a little video game character when she trots back to me. Little legs moving very fast, but not running. Also maybe a tracker of some kind when she's in search of something. Nose to the ground and nothing else on her mind but finding what she's looking for. Very focused. But when she falls asleep with her hair all tussled crazy, she is just the cutest little bear. |
Yobo is part human.. well, when he passes gas it smells like a 300lbs man that has a bad case of stomach ache and ate a big bowl of chilli. |
Chachi is definitely tazmanian devil and Jewels is like a monkey because every thing chachi does she copys even if she doesnt know why like barking for no reason other than chachi is. She has no idea why shes barking she just does it. Its agrivating and my ears need a break shes doing it right now |
Im going to sound like the mean mom, lol. When I give Sunni a bath i always think she looks like a little wet rat:eek: My freinds have always called my dogs, cogs (cat/dogs) Sunni does a lot of cat like things, climbing where she shouldn't, walking back and forth rubbing on my legs. When she was a brand new little puppy she looked like a mini black bear. |
Teddy is definitely a little bear - the cowardly one - but a bear, nonetheless. haha |
haha- I just thought if this thread was entitled, "If you dog was movie character - who would they be?" Teddy = Cowardly Lion from Wizard of Oz. I wasn't sure if the cowardly lion counted as another animal lol! |
Lol, these responses are making me laugh this morning :D, love it. Misty - you just may have an idea for the next thread :p! |
I would say Cooper is part Cheetah, because he runs so fastand part human because he likes to get on the dinner table and eat dinner withus (mostly from our plates, he is so rude not to fix his own ;))!!!! Atticus is part jumping bean (like the little worm inside)because he just jumps more than walking, and part bunny because he hops when heruns lol!!! |
I would say that Sophie is just a cat in a dog's body! She grooms the cats and they groom her (which gives her some of the best hairdos!), her favourite toys are always cat toys (other that a stuffed hedgehog) and her snuggle toy she has had since she was a puppy is a black and white kitty, she stretches like a cat, sleeps pretty much all day and evening and wakes up to play very late at night, gets along with cats way more than dogs (we actually had to teach her not to go up and try and play with other peoples' cats because they don't always like dogs), chases our hands under the blanket and so much else that I can't even think of right now! I think it just comes down to the fact that we adopted a kitten (Libby) when Sophie was about 9 months old so she had something to play with that was her size and the two of them spend a lot of time grooming each other, it is adorable. We already had two older cats when Libby came and then adopted another kitten later that year ... so Miss Sophie has spent her whole life surrounded by cats! Although...when she hears coyotes outside our window she growls right back at them - from under the blanket, of course! |

Raksha is part monkey for sure. She can get over anything I put to keep her confined! I have never seen a little dog climb the way she does. She weighs less than 4 lbs and she just puts her paws in the crate bars and climbs up to the top of the crate and then hangs out at the top of the crate! She climbs over baby gates. She is a monkey. |

Rowan is part meerkat! I had him in the exercise pen and he stood up on his hind legs to see me (not using anything for support). I am still learning what the babies are like. They will change so much over the coming months I am sure! Teek I don't know. He is really part fox. He looks like a fox a lot. Part Ewok too! Like my own personal Wicket. |
