| My Little MiMi...and Me Hello everyone My name is Gina and I just joined this Wonderful Forum. I've done a lot of reading already and have read so many helpful things. I am not new to Yorkies, this is the bread I grew up with and just love them to pieces. Even though I grew up with Cuddles, our Female Yorkie, it's been a very long time since. My MiMi will be MY very first Yorkie pup to raise and take care of myself and I am so stinking excited!!! Mimi just had her 1 Month Birthday yesterday 4/11/15 so of course she is with both her Doggy Mom and Breeder Mom still. I have been getting everything ready for her though, slowly but surley. I am lucky enough to be able to be with MiMi 24/7 When I do get to bring her home and I am so happy about that. I work for my local Police Department as a Dispatcher and it is very pet friendly thier so bringing MiMi with me is A-Ok . I work the night shift, 12 hour nights, 3 nights on 3 off one week, 4 nights on 4 off the next and it rotates like that. I will have MiMi's crate here at home, in my room with me and I will have a little travel set up for work nights. I will be pad training her, one because we live in the country and do not ha e a fenced in yard and two because while at work I will not have the chance to take MiMi out like Id want to...so pad training will simply work out best for both of us. MiMi is estimated to be no bigger than 5lbs as well. Her Mom is 4lbs and her Dad is 3lbs. So, here at home I will start her off in a bigger crate, with her bed, blanket and stuffed animal/toy on one side and potty pad on the other for her convenience. I will also have her a specific potty spot in another place in my home for the training part of everything. For work I will take her with me and bring her home in a little travel carrier with a comfy little bed, blanket and some toys and bring along a travel pen for her to play in when shes not in my lap or running around the office, potty pads, treats and food. From all the reading and youtube video watching I've done I think these set ups will be best for my MiMi and me. I, of course, am open to any and all opinions and or suggestions . Here is MiMi just a few days ago . |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and WELCOME to YT !! And congrats! How exciting you'll soon have your new baby. I'm totally impressed w/ all your preparation and think your little girl will do just awesome with those circumstances. How great that you can bring her to work! Just keep in mind you should be a little careful w/ her around other dogs until she gets all her puppy shots done. Do you have any names picked out yet?

| Welcome to YT and congrats on your soon to be little girl. As Wylie's Mom advised, be careful with her until she has all her shots. Have fun with you little girl.

| Hello everyone . Thank y'all so very much for the warm welcomes!!! No worries at all about little MiMi being around other dogs. I am the only one there at night, other than my officers coming in once in a while but no other dogs will be there at night. Our Animal Control Officer has a huge love for dogs and brings her smallest dog with her but she works during the day and her little Tink stays in her office with her which is separate from my office. So my little MiMi will be safe and sound . Oh and yes, her name is MiMi lol. |

| Your new baby is so sweet. She will have the best life ever I can tell. It's so much fun to spoil them and unlike kids it won't do any harm to them. |
