| I had Piper spayed within weeks of getting her (estimated age to be 3yrs) and the only thing I noticed was that she quit piddling so often. I don't know if this had to do with the surgery or her settling in...But we were both a lot more comfortable! |

| I think with puppies because they are changing anyway that people tend to think getting them fixed caused that but really it could just be because they are growing and changing pups.

| I had 2 spayed at 6 months, it's hard to say were changes seen. Most ppl spay at a young age, they are still puppies, they are changing everyday. Some ppl think females get fatter when spayed, this is not true. It is the owners that make fat dogs. My girls had beautiful bodies, slim, because I fed them very little table food. I had 2 un-spayed and 2 spayed girls, I saw no difference in any of their personalities, the only difference was, the two un-spayed came into season twice a year. My pack of 3 consisted of 2 un-spayed and one spayed, they were all 3 years apart, no fights, no jealousy, they were the friendliest, sweetest little girls ever. IDK, maybe I was just lucky.

| My Jilly was 6 1/2 years when I finally faced my fears and had her spayed and the only thing that changed in her was not having a heat cycle. She didn't gain weight or become more sedentary or anything I noticed.
