| New Here - Concerned about My Yorkies Recent Behavior Hi, I new to this forum had some questions about recent behavior of my almost 7 month old male Yorkie Monty. We have had Monty for approximately 1 1/2 months now he was a V-DAY gift from my husband. He was in another home before ours. Family didn't have enough time for him. He has be mostly playful. Seems to eat normal and poops regularly. Doesnt like the laminated floor in the kitchen but is use to it. Then just recently 2/3 days ago seems scared, tired, whiny, lose of appetite, hasnt pooped much, very scared of the floor almost refusing to walk on it. Gets skiddish then will fall on it. Saturday I did find a tick on him and removed it. Seems a little better now. But can't explain the floor situation. I do plan on calling the Vet in the morning. Previous owners stated that he was all current on shots. Any help or suggestion would be great thanks. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Any time there is loss of appetite, you must get to the vet asap if it's a puppy. It's a def sign that something is wrong. As far as falling on the floor, this is def also a concern. Please let us knwo what the vet says. And welcome to YT, btw.

| Scared, tired, whiny, loss of appetite, hasn’t pooped much, falling . All signs to be to concerned about…Vet visit ASAP. If you can get a fresh stool sample that would be helpful. Please keep us up-dated.

| Any unexplained change in behavior should result in a vet check-up.

| Well took Monty to the Vet. He said no visible issues. Temp. was good hydration good eyes ears looked fine clipped his nails a bit checked for additional ticks. Sent me home. As soon a we got home as soon as we went home he did eat some food then pooped started playing a little bit last night and seem more active and better today. I don't know what it was. :/ Thanks for the advise everyone. |
