LOL I did it again I went into my pantry to grab a few almonds from a bag, without looking closely I popped them in my mouth and YUCK instead of almonds I got a mouthful of some soft liver type doggie treats:eek: Last year I put a chewed down bully stick in my mouth thinking it was a pretzel and before that I used Lola's toothpaste by mistake. Please make me feel better and post some dog or cat things you have eaten by mistake, I hate to think I am the only Mr. Magoo on YT:D:D |
I kept my Scotty's medicine on the same shelf as mine. One day I took his by mistake and with my crazy thinking called my vet instead of my doctor. After explaining the situation, my wonderful vets first words were "You didn't give him your medicine, did you?" Thank goodness, no I didn't. Make you feel better? Oh, also when my little Harley was a baby, I went to the cabinet and grabbed her a treat and myself a vanilla wafer cookie. Let's just say that getting the cookie away from her was the most pleasant part of that experience |
My dad has eaten some dog stuff on purpose  |
I constantly bite treats into small pieces for Max & Sasha. It's impossible to do that without eating some if yourself. |
The only thing I took by mistake was Kaopectate instead of Maalox for indigestion! Shut my digestion down for most of the day! In the past, I tasted both liver treats and Milk Bones on purpose - to see what was so great about them to my dogs. LOL - let's just say I don't get the attraction. Poor dogs - no wonder they love human food! |
Too funny! We used to keep kibble and coffee beans in matching pop top containers on the counter . . . until dad nearly put kibble in the grinder. I admit, that I almost did the same. |

A friend of mine said: if you give them good quality food, humans should be able to eat it too! :D |
Keep Cali's shampoo by the shower near mine and one very early morning shower washed my hair with her shampoo by accident. Wasn't too bad at all:D |
To those who have eaten dog treats - remind me to never kiss you! |
My son ate the People cookies for Dogs. He said they tasted just like animal cookies that you get in the little circus box. Beggin Strips smell pretty good to me but I have never tried them. |
Some years back, my grandmother would have cans of corn beef hash in the pantry, On the shelf below she kept cans of dog food. One Saturday she had to work. She cooked my grandfather's dinner the night before and left it in frig. she left him a note on the kitchen table reminding him of his dinner. When she came home she saw my grandfather had not eaten what she had prepared for him, she asked him why he hadn't eaten, he said he felt like having corn beef and ate that instead, my grandmother said there was no corn beef in the pantry, he said yes there was one can with no label, she said you stupid A@@, you ate the dog food lol, he said well it tasted good lol. I never let him forget that lol. |
It's not dog food... but we had a guinea pig many years ago. I would buy her these peanut treats made for guinea pigs. My husband loved them! They were like peanut butter balls dipped in sesame seeds and he would go in and eat them! I am too girly to eat dog or guinea pig food. |

lol, this many years back. My grandmother would make corn beef hash with sunny side up eggs on weekends, as a young teenager I stayed with them a few weeks in the summer. It always looked like dog food to me even tho it did smell good when she fried it up lol, I was a picky eater (still am) and would not touch it lol. Several years ago as winter was approaching I was stocking up on non- perishable foods in case we had power outages, since it was eons ago with the corn beef hash and grandfather incident I decided let me get a can or two and give it another try since it's been eons, maybe they changed ingredients. Well no winter power outage, and I had these two cans of hash, I opened one up to make with some fried eggs, no changes, looked like and smelled like dog food, so I fed the hash to the outside trash pail lol. |

hahaha I think the only time I tried dog food was when I was 8 - or it may have been cat food? Maybe that's why I like fish so much!! It is all coming together for me, now! |
[QUOTE=SirTeddykins;4538533]hahaha I think the only time I tried dog food was when I was 8 - or it may have been cat food? Cat food  now that's nasty. One time years back, I went to visit a friend that had cats, I took my 3 pack girls with me where ever I went, on this visit my girls ate the cats food. At this time I had 3 picky eater dogs, trying to find one dog food that they all would eat was making me nuts. So on my next shopping trip I got 3 small cans of cat food and fed it to them, they gobbled it up like it was Filet Mignon. Then they came to me for kisses  their breath OMG. Never again. Since joining YT I have read it is dangerous to feed cat food to dogs, how did those babies live to be 13 y/o. Maybe it was from the St. Francis medals I keep on all my babies. |

hahah firstly, I did not realize how many people wanted to kiss me but hey I can't blame you guys :p one at a time or I have to charge a fee! Secondly, it wasn't WET cat food! Ew! And cat food is in question, anyway! hahahaha |
I've used ZoE's Minksheen shampoo on accident! I'd diluted it with some distilled water and poured it into an old shampoo pump-style bottle. A few weeks later, running late for work, I accidentally used it. My hair looked great! I even got a compliment from a co-worker! When I told her why, she at first didn't seem believing, until she sniffed my hair. Even though it had great results, I've not done it again as I just couldn't stand the citronella smell that close to my nose all day long. |
pup shampoo should be ok to use, and it should be it seems to cost more than the Panteen I use. I have tried on purpose a few of the homemade treats people make for their pets, but yuck most have not tasted good to me. I also on purpose tried some dental wipe and it had so much alcohol or something like that in it I decided not to use it. |

Bwahahahaha:eyetearss |
Ya'll stop! I'm cracking up at work:D:D:D I have accidentally used doggy shampoo and that was o.k. My furbutts eat Cloud Star buddy biscuits. I keep them in a little sealed container on the counter....right next to the cookie jar. NOw when I bought that container I wrote "dog treats" on top of the container in permanent marker. My hubby started laughing when he saw it. He wanted to know if our daughter had accidentally eaten a dog treat!! LOL |
oh, and MIsty....my fur butts kiss me occassionally:eek::eek: It ain't so bad:D:D:D:yelrotflm:kiss: |
My youngest son (he's 30 now) would hide and eat dog food out of the container we kept it in. He was about 5-6 years old at the time. It must have tasted good to him. He did it a lot :D |
