LOL I did it again I went into my pantry to grab a few almonds from a bag, without looking closely I popped them in my mouth and YUCK instead of almonds I got a mouthful of some soft liver type doggie treats:eek: Last year I put a chewed down bully stick in my mouth thinking it was a pretzel and before that I used Lola's toothpaste by mistake. Please make me feel better and post some dog or cat things you have eaten by mistake, I hate to think I am the only Mr. Magoo on YT:D:D |
I kept my Scotty's medicine on the same shelf as mine. One day I took his by mistake and with my crazy thinking called my vet instead of my doctor. After explaining the situation, my wonderful vets first words were "You didn't give him your medicine, did you?" Thank goodness, no I didn't. Make you feel better? Oh, also when my little Harley was a baby, I went to the cabinet and grabbed her a treat and myself a vanilla wafer cookie. Let's just say that getting the cookie away from her was the most pleasant part of that experience |
My dad has eaten some dog stuff on purpose  |
I constantly bite treats into small pieces for Max & Sasha. It's impossible to do that without eating some if yourself. |
The only thing I took by mistake was Kaopectate instead of Maalox for indigestion! Shut my digestion down for most of the day! In the past, I tasted both liver treats and Milk Bones on purpose - to see what was so great about them to my dogs. LOL - let's just say I don't get the attraction. Poor dogs - no wonder they love human food! |
Too funny! We used to keep kibble and coffee beans in matching pop top containers on the counter . . . until dad nearly put kibble in the grinder. I admit, that I almost did the same. |

A friend of mine said: if you give them good quality food, humans should be able to eat it too! :D |
Keep Cali's shampoo by the shower near mine and one very early morning shower washed my hair with her shampoo by accident. Wasn't too bad at all:D |
To those who have eaten dog treats - remind me to never kiss you! |
My son ate the People cookies for Dogs. He said they tasted just like animal cookies that you get in the little circus box. Beggin Strips smell pretty good to me but I have never tried them. |
Some years back, my grandmother would have cans of corn beef hash in the pantry, On the shelf below she kept cans of dog food. One Saturday she had to work. She cooked my grandfather's dinner the night before and left it in frig. she left him a note on the kitchen table reminding him of his dinner. When she came home she saw my grandfather had not eaten what she had prepared for him, she asked him why he hadn't eaten, he said he felt like having corn beef and ate that instead, my grandmother said there was no corn beef in the pantry, he said yes there was one can with no label, she said you stupid A@@, you ate the dog food lol, he said well it tasted good lol. I never let him forget that lol. |
It's not dog food... but we had a guinea pig many years ago. I would buy her these peanut treats made for guinea pigs. My husband loved them! They were like peanut butter balls dipped in sesame seeds and he would go in and eat them! I am too girly to eat dog or guinea pig food. |

lol, this many years back. My grandmother would make corn beef hash with sunny side up eggs on weekends, as a young teenager I stayed with them a few weeks in the summer. It always looked like dog food to me even tho it did smell good when she fried it up lol, I was a picky eater (still am) and would not touch it lol. Several years ago as winter was approaching I was stocking up on non- perishable foods in case we had power outages, since it was eons ago with the corn beef hash and grandfather incident I decided let me get a can or two and give it another try since it's been eons, maybe they changed ingredients. Well no winter power outage, and I had these two cans of hash, I opened one up to make with some fried eggs, no changes, looked like and smelled like dog food, so I fed the hash to the outside trash pail lol. |
