| ![]() It was a nightmare. I dreamed Dutch got outside and she took off running. I was in absolute panic. I was running around the neighborhood asking everyone had the seen her. In the dream I was even hyperventilating. The only thing I was yelling was "she doesn't have her tags on. How are they going to know she belongs to me?" Then I woke up. She was right there on her pillow laying next to me looking at me like I was crazy. ![]() This actually has happened to me with my previous Yorkie but thankfully she didn't get far. In fact what I was feeling in the dream was identical to when Brandi got out without me noticing it.....complete panic. |

| ![]() It sure was. In the dream, she just disappeared without a trace. I saw her running through a hole in a fence and then she was gone. What's really weird in the midst of all this, my friend offered me her yorkie. |

| ![]() I cant remember how many times I have woke myself up, screaming and hollering or crying over my babies disappearing through a hole in a fence, drowning in a pool and I cant get to them, or missing from the house....I count noses and one is missing and I have NO idea where that pup is or where it got out or when it got out! My son has even come to my bedroom in the middle of the night, responding to my yelling or crying, to wake me up and check on me....those nightmares are terrible and sooooooo real..... |

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() I had a nightmare several weeks ago. I was walking Teek and someone stopped in a car and told me to give them my dog. I told them no. They insisted. I told them over my dead body would I give them my dog. They said okay. I grabbed Teek and ran. I got home, but they found me (I was cutting through yards to escape them). They broke into my house (only it wasn't actually my house) and attacked me. I got a gun and hid Teek in the shower. I went and hit, but they found and attacked me, I shot them though and then the police came and started yelling at me. I woke up and I was completely terrified. I couldn't even move at all or hardly breathe. I gently reached down and felt for Teek by my leg and when I found his warm fuzzy body I just laid my hand on him gently for comfort. It was a long time before I fell asleep though.

| ![]() Geez, what scary dreams ya'll have! But I'm glad they were only dreams and your babies are safe. I am always terrified one of mine will get out and get lost. A few weeks ago, I came in from work and no one else was home. Of course, Rin, Tyson and ERnie are always hysterical to say hello. ON this day, I squatted down to adore them all and Ernie was MISSING! I called for him...I could hear him barking....I went and opened the front door and there he was!!! Apparently the little brat had run out the door while I was coming in ![]() I was terrifed! He could have easily taken off down the street. Needless to say, I have worked with my adult daughter and ERnie (he is her fur-butt) on his door manners !!

| ![]() Have you noticed how they can blend completely into outside environment? I've "lost" Piper in my little backyard--only to finally see her standing motionless, near shrubs, staring at me like I'm embarrassing her by calling to her so frantically! I've also "lost" her when she's come back inside without me seeing her---only to discover her when I almost trip over her as I run to get my shoes!! No matter how vigilant I think I am, little Piper reminds me on a continuous basis, that I can do better! |

| ![]() Wow horrifying dreams.... Several years ago I had come home from a week end visit with my dad, at that time I had my 11 y/o Schnae and 5 y/o Matese. I put the dogs in the house first, then went to the car to get the over nighter. When I came back in I didn't see Matese, I called and called her, nothing. Matese was a fast lil girl, would dart out the door as you were closing it and never see her, when she didn't come after 4 calls I went into panic mode, I went outside calling and calling her name, nothing, I live in a heavily wooded area, I was running down the road crying and calling her, saw ppl, asked did they see a large yorkie, I saw some young kids, I had to force myself to stop crying, didn't want to scare them by seeing a frantic crying adult, asked did they see the dog, after an hour searching and calling her I came back to the house hysterical blaming myself for not seeing her scoot out the door, I am walking up my driveway and looking out of the living room window was THE DOG, Matese, I ran in scooped her up and hugged and kissed her all over. I found out later that night she had found a hiding place under my sofa, I have a sofa with recliners on each end. Behind the sofa between the two recliners is an empty space, who knew lol, she did lol, she was also a thief, steal things out of my purse, when I found her secret hiding spot I also found the stash, chap sticks, cigarette lighters, pencils. But what a scare she gave me. The next day I had a gate installed on my front deck. That was a real nightmare.

| ![]() lol dog blending in, that's Cody, this past fall, leaves on the ground, I am always out when he's in the yard, I watch him like a hawk, he was stalking his fav. rock, I turned around to sit down, when I looked back at the rock he was gone, I have 2 big sheds that block the view of the entire back yard, so I jump up to look past the sheds, my sudden movement caused movement from the corner of my eye, it was Cody, still stalking his rock lol, his hair blended in with the changing bushes behind him and the leaves on the ground lol. Glad I am not the only one that has experienced their pup blending into outside environment lol.

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() My dogs are only walked on leashes as we don't have a fenced in yard. We have a huge wrap around porch though so I am trying to figure out how to block off a section of the porch so it will be safe for Teek to hang out on the porch with me when the weather is warmer. I spend a lot of time on my porch and having him on a leash out there will be a pain, but if I can block off a section of it then he can be out there with me while I am enjoying the weather. I have my dogs trained that they can not go outside without permission and so far it has been a good thing. My big dog will step onto the porch and realize he isn't harnessed up and run back in the house. Teek learned pretty quick. He only scooted out the door 1 time the first week I had him and I was able to scoop him up really fast. He is quick when we are playing but the rest of the time he is not in a hurry so he is easy to grab.
