I don't know about the registry All I get on Gold dust is = With Kirsten Sanchez-Meyer's commitment to this breed she had the first Golddust puppies registered and recognized in Germany. Bellini Butch Baron vom Klosterbach and Sissi Prinzess vom Klosterbach produced 2 Golddust puppies born October 14, 2007. "Alicia Goldschatz vom Klosterbach" and Anjalie Goldschatz vom Klosterbach" were the first official Golddusts registered in Germany on December 12, 2007. After the Golddust was recognized, registered clubs offered their members the chance to change the name in their registration papers from the Biewer White Gold to Golddust. For this reason you will find older dogs than Alicia and Anjalie with original Golddust papers. Group Toy/Companion Recognition Germany, NAKC rarities, IABCAI |
Gold dust isn't part of the AKC under the Brewer?? Dunno maybe but it doesn't show Dog Breeds - American Kennel Club |
I agree with everyone here but I have to say,,, that is one cute puppy. This morning I spoke until I was blue in the face to a women that is looking for a Yorkie. I actually think she listened to me. I gave her info for YT so she can join up and learn from the best. She will do her research and hold off until she finds a reputable breeder. What a good friend you are OP for dragging your friend outta there! Temptation must have been over whelming! So glad I wasn't there! |
The 24 hrs health guaranty is whats bogus. The breeder I go to gives a one yr health guarantee. But you need to take it to the vet of your choice the first week you get a pup check to enact the guarantee. She gives you a puppy check from her vet Just wants you to get your to prove he puppy is health. If something down the road happens she will take the pup back return your $$ or pay up to $1000 on vet bills. All in contract form. Excluse drops and step ons. If the breeder OPs saw was confident in her dog she would do better then 24 hrs. Run... All puppies are cute jmo |
Anyone who buys a puppy needs to look closely at the health guarantee. Keep in mind that if you find a health issue at the age of 9 months you do not want your only option to be giving the puppy back for a new one. By then you hopefully are so in love with that pup that you are not going to want to give it back but you may be faced with very large vet bills. Most of the so called "guarantees" offered by pet shops, puppy mills and backyard breeders are written to protect the breeder not the new owner. The health guarantee needs to be very specific about what diseases and genetic weakness it covers and how the breeder will deal with them A new owner should also look at what testing the breeder has done concerning genetic defects. Due to the very haphazard breeding practices of people who know and care nothing about the genetic issues of purebreds there are MANY genetic issues in purebred dogs today. Buyer beware. The cost of seeing a vet continues to rise. Just routine care is costly. You don't want to see what a real problem will set you back. |
A 24 hour guarantee is laughable! Although my Guarantee is for 5 years, the least you should get is 1 year! You are a great friend! It is hard to leave a cute puppy behind but in this case, I believe it was a very wise choice! |

Thanks Ingrid. Hindsight is always 20:20. I'm Still in contact with 90% of those who bought my puppies. Don't give up on breeders, there are more good breeders than breeders. Plus if you make a breeder your friend, you are less likely to get burned. |
IME I'm skeptical. There are more bad breeders then good. Anybody can look in the paper and there will be 5-6 ppl saying they are breeders. Bet none of them are good breeders. Anybody can breed. The dogs / nature does it all. the selective breeding ,health checks ect.. are from good breeders. I have breeders that are friends but it took along time to fine them. I agree with getting to know your breeder.... and know the correct answers to look for. Theres alot of shady ppl out there JMO |
I agree about the breeder and getting to know him/her I am showered with video everyday of my baby from my breeder....Im very lucky.........plus I talk to my breeder at least once a week if not more....I ask as many questions as I can... |

My breeder sends me updated pics every week, I've helped her become more techno savvy as well lol. U should feel comfortable enough with your breeder that you'll be able to ask her anything concerning your pup without feeling embarrassed. |
My breeder has done the same with pictures and videos every week. I have watched my baby girl grow and change so much over the past 8 weeks through those videos and pics. I went to the breeders home, and chose the baby I will be bringing home soon. I have had an awesome experience with this purchase of my new lil family member :) |
