				   | In the past week, I've noticed that my 4 month old puppy, Kirby, sits kind of weird. It's almost as if he sits on his butt, and not with the support of his hind legs. Is this hip displacement, or nothing at all? |

				   | Could be luxating patella. Our Sasha has it. Does he favor a leg at any time? |

				   | Looks bit like how Magnus sits sometimes. I've seen Zoey do it sometimes also but not very often... Magnus/Zoey has physical exams twice a year and the vet has never mentioned any issue with their hips or any other physical issue... Here's a picture of Magnus "sitting funny". |

				   | Teasell sits like that often. I call it her tripod look. I don't think it's anything bad many dogs sit like this especially the smaller breeds. |

				   | My dog sits like that and had LP in both legs (we ended up get surgery at different times for both). My orthopedic surgeon called it a positive sit test and that it could mean pain. I would have it checked out

				   | About all the yorkies I've had had sat like that or funnier granted my current girl has luxating patellas and she actually sits more on her hips than butt, though when she was younger and weighed less she sat directly on her butt. She'll do it occasionally every so often.

				   | Rin has Grade 1 LP, she just lays all the way down. However, Tyson and ERnie both sit in that strange position. The vet examines them twice a year....no hip or knee problems.

				   | Yeah, I'll let the vet know the next time we make a visit.. I didn't mention that the last time we took him to get an exam, the vet said he had loose knee joints. She said that it was common in small dogs but I was still a little concerned. Could that possibly be the reason why he sits like that? |
