YT 500 Club Member | ![]() So I thought I would share what I found out. Just in case others go through this with there dog. I have had my puppy for 7 months now. He has thrown up yellow bile at least once a week and he does a fast quick dry hack at least once a day or twice a day. Burps and gets bloated stomach. He chews all day long and eats anything he can find on the floor. So the vet vet done blood work to rule out liver problems and she came to the conclusion that he suffers from acid reflux. She feels the quick fast hack noise he does is from an irritated throat due to the acid comming up his throat. She said where as he does it when running it can get the juices flowing and boom it comes up to his throat and he hacks because it burns. Also from all the chewing he does that can also bring on acid reflux. She said kinda like when you chew gum all day people get heart burn from it. So she was very through. So he is on pepcid ac and he is on a probiotic dailey. So we will see if this helps. No table food. Last night my husband snuck him a hamburger and this morning there was the yellow bile!! Thanks go willeysmom because she is the one that brought my attention to maybe acid reflux |

| ![]() I'm so glad you got to the bottom of your pup's problem. It sounds like you have a great vet. We are so fortunate to have members with a lot of knowledge of medical issues. Wiley's Mom has helped me a lot too. She is the one who told me about chicken allergies in dogs and helped me so much figuring out why Daisy was itching so badly.
